2What made you become/why did you choose to become a designer/artist?

Love.

I am Zhang Min, Design Director and Partner of Shang He Decoration Design Co.Ltd.

4What does “design” mean to you?

Take your love name as a career.

5What’s your favorite kind of design and why?

Yabu is elegant and stunning.

6To you, what makes a “good” design?

Creativity can move people practical temperature.

7Describe your design style and its main characteristics.

Creativity first space second function third indispensable.

8Tell us about your design process.

On the basis of meeting the functional requirements to do creative and spatial conception.

9Do you think your country and its cultural heritage has an impact on your design process?

It has a big impact.

Step on a higher ladder to meet bigger challenges.

11Can you explain a bit about the winning work you entered into the 2020 MUSE Design Awards, and why you chose to enter this project?

The perfect life of light and shadow share their own work.

12What was the biggest challenge with this project?

The alteration on the structure, the alteration of the spiral staircase, the landing of later period, etc.

13 How has winning an Award developed your practice/career?

Winning the prize will make me more demanding of my own design.

14What are your top three (3) favorite things about our industry?

1. The process of designing and creating.

2. The process of sharing and communicating with customers.

3. The joy after the project landed.

15What makes your country specifically, unique in the design industry?

Focus on love.

16Where do you see the evolution of design industry going over the next 5-10 years?

International Chinese culture will be loved by more and more people.

17If you were a student entering this industry or an aspiring MUSE Design Awards submitter, what advice would you give them?

Hard work and love will pay off.
