To honor the impact and heritage of the Patrol in the Middle East, Nissan went all out to launch the new 2022 model in the Dubai World Expo!
When you think of Nissan as a car nerd, your mind immediately wanders over to one of the many JDM legends that cemented the Japanese car manufacturer as the premier sports car company. Cars like the 180SX, Skyline GTR, and the Fairlady Z30.
But none can hold the candle to the indestructible and ever-reliable Nissan Patrol. Whose reputation in the Middle Eastern crowd, specifically in Dubai, is so unprecedented in the motoring world, the people who owned these cars bought them for the sole purpose of modifying them molecule by molecule to become high-performance monsters that make the exotic and advanced hypercars of tomorrow look slow in comparison.
To honor this unique piece of the Patrol’s history and cultural impact in the Middle Eastern car community, Nissan approached the George P. Johnson Experience Marketing and Spinifex Group to reveal the next generation of the Nissan Patrol and the 2022 model at the Dubai Expo the only way they know how: In style!
To make this event be the most memorable one in Nissan’s history, the team paid a visit to the Al Wasl Dome, the largest dome projection in the world spanning at 130 meters in diameter and with 252 projectors and 27 speakers to provide an incredibly immersive light show.
The event slowly unfolds in a grand fashion by telling a rich story that spans over three generations of Nissan’s heritage story during its 70-year reign, all while a hexagonal jewel icon sits at the center of the of the stage. Representing the past, present and the future of Nissan.
Additionally, the world renowned Joji Jirota Taiko Drummers and Nagham Debel mesmerizes the audience with their moving musical performance as the lights dances across the domed ceiling with an infinity of patterns and colors.
Before long, Nissan finally revealed the beloved SUV of choice in the Dubai motoring world: The all-new 2022 Nissan Patrol SUV emerging from the dark and iconic shape cutting through the smoke with its headlights. Additionally, the highly-anticipated 2022 Pathfinder also debuted alongside the beloved Patrol as another attractive option to the masses.
