This enchanting immersive exhibition stands as the largest indoor Harry Potter experience globally and marks a significant milestone as the first Warner Bros. Studio Tour to open in Asia.
From the iconic Great Hall to the mysterious Forbidden Forest, fans of all ages can explore authentic sets, discover the secrets behind spellbinding special effects, and get up close with original costumes and props used in the beloved Harry Potter films.
Taking inspiration from the beloved Harry Potter studio tour near London, the newly envisioned Tokyo tour perfected by Thinkwell Group (A TAIT Company) offers a captivating journey through the filmmaking process, highlighting the incredible contributions of the various teams involved, from Production Design to the Art of Sound.
Tailored to delight local fans, the tour features custom media narrated by Kensho Ono, the voice of Harry Potter in the Japanese film dubs. Visitors can also enjoy bilingual exhibit content, indulge in local food and beverage selections, and find unique, Tokyo-exclusive merchandise. This is truly a magical experience designed to enchant Harry Potter fans and film enthusiasts alike!
The Tokyo version of this celebrated experiential and immersive exhibition was brought to life by the original filmmaking talent behind the Harry Potter movies, giving fans an unfiltered experience! Many of the sets, including elements larger than those found in the London attraction, were meticulously constructed in the UK before being transported to Tokyo. Notably, the complete Ministry of Magic set spans an impressive 9,200 square feet, offering a grander scale and a deeper immersion into the magical world.
Within this attraction, visitors are treated to a variety of individual media experiences that make the tour truly unique. From an expansive 270-degree, 80-meter wide 13K multi-projector wrap-around screen in the lobby to more personal interactions where filmmakers share insights into their creative processes. Additionally, a life-size figure of renowned actor, Eddie Redmayne, celebrated for his role as Newt Scamander in the Fantastic Beasts films, guides guests through the fascinating world of digital creature creation, enhancing the immersive experience.
Whether you're transforming into a talking portrait at Hogwarts, walking through the Floo Network at the Ministry of Magic, or crafting your very own Death Eater mask, there's a spellbinding activity for everyone. Although the recommended visit time is four hours, many guests find themselves enchanted for up to seven hours or more. With attractions like the delightful Potter Food Hall, an outdoor Butterbeer bar, a themed dining experience on the Backlot, and a retail environment brimming with interactive moments and show-stopping elements, it's easy to see why visitors happily lose track of time in this extraordinary magical experience.
