My name is Zarina Tasheva, and I have served as the Head of HR at Uz-Kor Gas Chemical, the largest polymer manufacturer in Central Asia, since 2012. With a wealth of experience exceeding 15 years in strategic HR management within the oil and gas sector, I have acquired a Master's degree in HRM from the prestigious Rome Business School.
Additionally, I hold internationally recognized certificates in industrial management. In recognition of my contributions to the field, I was honored with international awards in the field of Human Resource.
Subsequently, in 2021, I had the privilege of receiving a Commemorative Badge from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for my exceptional dedication to the development of the country and the Oil and Gas sector. Further highlighting my commitment to advancing HR practices, I was appointed as a judge for the EMBRAS Award for CIS, Europe, and Central Asia in October 2023.
Over the past year, I have focused my efforts on researching the implementation of Artificial Intelligence in HR management, aiming to enhance HR activities and empower employees within oil and gas companies. My dedication to this field is underscored by my authorship of scientific publications on the subject.
In the company, my role as the HR Leader involves overseeing HR operations for the largest Oil and Gas projects in Central Asia, which encompasses managing a diverse and dynamic workforce.
My primary mission is to cultivate a culture of learning, collaboration, and diversity while empowering employees to reach their full potential. My core competencies lie in organizational strategy, industrial relations, resource planning, and policy development.
Additionally, I offer expert guidance to management regarding the implementation and administration of new or updated HR policies and procedures, ensuring they seamlessly align with the organization's goals and transformation efforts.
As part of the collaborative efforts between Uzbekistan and South Korea, the establishment of JV "Uz-Kor Gas Chemical" LLC, a joint venture between the National Holding Company "Uzbekneftegaz" and a Consortium of Korean companies, signifies a notable milestone.
Serving as the leading polymer manufacturer in Central Asia, it holds a pivotal position in the region's petrochemical sector.
JV "Uz-Kor Gas Chemical" specializes in producing various petrochemicals, particularly essential polymers like polyethylene and polypropylene. These materials are crucial in industries such as packaging, construction, automotive, and textiles.
Leveraging Uzbekistan's abundant natural gas resources as a primary feedstock and partnering with Korean petrochemical companies for advanced technology, the company enhances operational efficiency and quality. Its presence significantly contributes to Uzbekistan's economic development by generating employment and driving technological progress in the petrochemical sector.
Furthermore, its high-quality polymer products cater to both domestic and international market demands. Overall, JV "Uz-Kor Gas Chemical" represents a successful collaboration between Uzbekistan and South Korea, advancing economic growth and industrial development in the region.

A significant hindering factor for HR industry during the pandemic was the shift to remote work and the challenge of maintaining employee engagement and productivity.
To overcome this, we implemented virtual communication tools, established clear expectations and goals, provided additional support and resources for remote work, and fostered a culture of flexibility and adaptability.
Throughout my life, I've been inspired by various individuals, but one person who stands out is my mother. She instilled in me the values of resilience, determination, and compassion. Despite facing numerous challenges in her life, she always maintained a positive attitude and taught me the importance of hard work and perseverance.
