Summer has arrived, and with it comes fun activities in the hot sun, vacations across the world, non-stop parties and barbecues, working on new personal projects and other ventures, or even just simply staying at home with an ice-cold drink at hand!
For Yangqi Lake in China and the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, they had spent years perfecting the design of their most ambitious project yet and overseeing the construction until its completion. The end result? The Landscape Reconstruction Design of the Summer Garden.
Complete with beds of colorful summer flowers, beautiful trees, tranquil lakes and a monumental pagoda that stands tall right at the very center of it all. The Landscape Reconstruction Design of the Summer Garden is a picturesque attraction where visitors can enter and take beautiful pictures with memories embedded in a sea of purple and blue. With inspirations for the overall landscape deriving from the most iconic Chinese phrases and letting their designers run loose with imagination.
As you walk around the lake that is referred to as “The Pearl On The Longan”, you will come across a towering pagoda that overlooks the entirety of the project. Giving you a bird’s eye view of the area and allowing you to take in the massive scale of the project that glows in many different shades of green and purple.
The flowers and trees of the landscape project wasn’t just chosen for the sole purpose of looking good or being a correct color. Careful thought has been given to not only create a botanical spectacle for visitors with green thumbs and shows off a diverse selection of beautiful flowers. Every meter you walk in the landscape will show you a unique species to shake things up a little bit.
Flowers aren’t the only thing that is main star of the show. Also layered along the outer perimeter of the landscape are large bonsai trees atop of boulders and rocks. Giving you an atmosphere that is similar to the Chinese fantasy stories and paintings of old.
Never before has a landscape project like this be a botanical haven for those with a passion for gardening, but also have so much history and cultural significance pertaining to China. Summer will never be the same again with this spectacle of sights and smells!
