In a world where the odds are against you and danger is present in every step of the way, know that you are never alone and the ones closest to you will help you get through it in the darkest of times. They’ve watched your back, now you have to watch theirs in return.
Developed by Navegante Entertainment, Greak: Memories of Azur is a sides scroller action-adventure game and tells a tale about three siblings. And with each of them possessing a unique skillset and power, there is nothing that stops this ragtag group of brothers and sisters when family triumphs over all.
Taking place in the lands of Azur, you play as all three characters. Greak, Adara and Raydel. The three of them is on a quest to escape from the overwhelming Urlag force that has ravaged the lands and exterminating the Courine race. With a goal to escape the lands of Azur and flee the opposing force, you must lead the sibling through a series of trials and tribulations to finish the construction of an airship initiated by a village holdout to escape once and for all.
Each member of the family houses a set of skills and items needed to progress through the game. Greak is equipped with a rare Laurean sword and crossbow to deal large amounts of damage to his enemies close up and afar. Adara is a master in magic and can fire bolts from a safe distance and hovering across large distances for a short period of time. Finally, Raydel is agile with his grappling hook to reach high places and a bastion with his sturdy shield to negate damage and protecting his family from environmental hazards. Harnessing the powers of all three characters, it is up to you to cover their weaknesses and bolster each other’s strengths to triumph over all enemies and obstacles.
The world of Azur is one that is meticulously crafted with an incredibly art. From the towering monoliths seen in the distance to the smallest tree branches up close, every corner of the world is paid a special attention to detail on creating a world that is not only fantastical, but also an immersive one too. However, visuals only play a small part in creating a great world design. Throughout the game is also a series of carefully-crafted platforming and puzzle sections that commands the usage of all three characters’ areas of expertise and skills to progress further in the coming levels.
