All it takes is just a single glance an a hundredth of a second to process the world and our surroundings just by sight alone. Our other senses depend on identifying objectives immediately, and our sight depend on our other senses to back it up and create additional contingent plans in case the first one goes wrong.
But what happens when you’ve lost your sense of sight completely? Well, you hone your remaining senses to perform at their absolute best to give you the most amount of information possible and learn how to sus out a solution before the problem ever occurs. In Blind Fate: Edo no Yami, you’ll be taking advantage of all of your remaining senses to overcome any obstacles before they kill you!
You play as our titular character in Blind Fate: Edo no Yami. The red right hand of the Shogunate who rules over a cyberpunk Japan in the machine-filled Edo period who follows orders without fail and kill indiscriminately. However, you lose your sight and are utterly helpless… or so you thought, and you are cybernetically enhanced with new sensors to augment your abilities to not only see the world around, but to also perceive your surroundings in ways that you could never do before.
As you progress through a country ruined by machines, The Mask of the Oni which grants you the senses you need to survive will create a simulation of the around. However, you should never let your guard down as outdated data can will not show you the dangers that lurk behind the holograms and pixels.
Many dangers also lie unseen and out of sight within the world of Blind Fate: Edo no Yami. Fortunately, you are also blessed with other sensors that each represent themselves as heat, smell and sound. Use these senses in the appropriate situation when the time comes and they will prove beneficial to pinpointing their exact location and plan out your attacks quickly and efficiently.
Blind Fate: Edo no Yami is an incredibly unique take on combat and mixing it together perfectly with Japanese mythology and history with a cyberpunk twist.
