1Please give us a brief bio of yourself, your company, job profile, etc.
I’m the Founder and Owner of Tane, a creative video agency headquartered in New York.
2Tell us a bit about your business and what you do.
Tane is a creative agency focused on the converging world of branded content and advertising. We help brands create transformative experiences for their audiences, using video as the entry point to brand development and cross-channel marketing campaigns. Our approach has resulted in consistent growth for the agency including making the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in America for the third consecutive year in 2019.
3Congratulations! As the winner of the 2019 Muse Awards, what does it mean to you and your company and team to receive this award distinction?
Winning a Platinum Muse Award is a tremendous distinction. To have our work receive the highest honor from a highly respected international competition validates our video-first approach for our team and clients. Our team is extremely honored and excited to have won a Platinum Muse award for an outstanding client.
4Can you explain a bit about the winning work you entered into the 2019 Muse Awards, and why you chose to enter this project?
We chose to enter this project because it produced outstanding results for our client and encapsulated the vision of our agency; helping brands succeed with video.
Namely is an emerging tech brand that was looking for a new type of creative agency to tell their brand story. They chose to start with video as the entry point to develop their messaging and visual identity. The brand video would be the cornerstone of their new brand identity, so it needed to have the right positioning, messaging, and style to bring their services to life and welcome viewers into their world for the first time.
The video was featured on their website and social channels and was utilized by their sales, marketing, and recruitment teams. By taking a video-first approach, the brand video drove business results and helped increase leads, including an increase of 800% in demo submission rates. We continue to help Namely evolve their brand identity through design and digital content.
5If you were a student entering this industry or an aspiring Muse Award submitter, what advice would you give them?
Start with a vision of what you want to achieve. Then work hard to articulate that vision to your team through your actions. If you’re able to inspire the people around you to do their best work, you will ultimately exceed the vision and produce truly exceptional work.
6What is your key to success? Any parting words of wisdom?
Longevity and experience produce wisdom. Keep putting one foot in front of the other every day and you’ll get there. Give yourself space to think and the ideas will come. Create a vision and inspire those around you. They will take you further than you could ever go by yourself.
