Sun Glory Archi Group combines over 60 years of architectural excellence in Taiwan with youthful innovation and a global perspective. Beyond developing real estate, they've integrated traditional construction expertise with modern technology and design, creating spaces that harmonize nature, ecology, and human emotion.
Sun Glory Archi Group draws on 40 years of solid architectural experience and is now launching a new brand that combines the rationality of technology with the passion for creativity. While continuing the robust construction methods of traditional industries, the team integrates expertise in software engineering and marketing. Their goal extends beyond building a residence—it’s about creating the emotional essence of a home.
Sun Glory strives to maximize the value of every plot of land, adhering to principles of harmonious coexistence between nature, ecology, and living environments. By incorporating considerations of the seasons, weather, day and night cycles, and ecological factors, they enrich their projects with a profound humanistic aesthetic. This thoughtful approach is designed to fulfill the deep-seated desire of residents for an ideal home that resonates on an emotional level.
Sun Glory starts as an architectural innovator, inviting bold collaboration among three architects specializing in architecture, landscaping, and public spaces. Together, they create remarkable works that break free from the constraints of regulations and monotonous designs. Through a dynamic skyline, architectural space variations, and the integration of environmental characteristics, they craft unique, site-specific landscape architecture.
The team's awards are a clear recognition of their efforts. We look forward to expanding into more project sites, experimenting with different architectural innovations, and making buildings not only fulfill living needs but also stand as works of landscape art.
This project is located on the Linkou Plateau, close to LinKou AI+ Park, Mitsui Outlet, and the Carrefour shopping district. What makes it truly unique is that when we first set foot on this land, it was at the very edge of the Linkou redevelopment area—a peaceful spot.
From the north, you can enjoy rare and stunning views of both mountains and the sea. Inspired by this, we developed the concept of a "city of mountains and sea," blending it with modern technology. Using sharp, angular lines to shape the design, we created a flowing spatial experience that evokes a modern, minimalist, and eco-conscious landscape atmosphere.
Challenge 1: The site is divided into two parts, and the task is how to maintain the same design concept while creating a sense of continuity. We achieved this by incorporating the concept of a classical estate, using it as a guiding theme for cohesion.
Challenge 2: The site’s unique natural environment offers expansive mountain and sea views while being adjacent to an international AI+ high-tech park. The challenge was how to use architectural features to attract attention. We combined the mountain ridgelines and sea horizon with the technological elements of electronic circuits, transforming them into angular, folded-line motifs that reflect a common design language throughout the layout. These clean lines connect and unify the two sections of the site.
Additionally, some areas feature irregularly shaped sloping shrubs, echoing the undulating feel of mountain terrain. The natural elements of "cloud, mountain, forest, water, and stone" are condensed into the design, accompanied by winding paths that overlap and spread out like wings, offering sweeping views. This modern mountain-sea poetic living space provides comfortable shaded walkways and enhances the surrounding environment.
"When people and the environment interact harmoniously, we call it beauty." This quote from renowned Japanese industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa directly points to the core and value of design. The same philosophy is also reflected in the newly established "Sun Glory Archi Group" in 2021.
Unlike traditional real estate property developers who focus on real estate transactions, Sun Glory's architectural works emphasize humanistic care. "We must start by understanding the local landscape, culture, and identifying the needs that matter to our clientele," said Sun Glory's General Manager, Hsu-Tsung Chien.
1. Seeing customers find their dream home: This is one of the most fulfilling aspects of real estate and construction. The joy of matching people with a space they truly love reflects the emotional significance of home ownership.
2. Building the ideal architecture with different materials: Using a variety of materials allows for greater creativity in construction, enabling architects to bring their visions to life. Each material offers unique possibilities in terms of texture, durability, and aesthetic appeal, which helps to create the ideal building in one's mind.
3. Shaping the city skyline through architecture: Buildings do more than serve functional purposes—they define the character of a city's skyline. A thoughtfully designed structure becomes part of the urban landscape, contributing to the city’s visual identity and cultural significance.
With the growing impact of global warming, the rise of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives, and the discussion around carbon credits, real estate development is undergoing a necessary transformation. The focus is now on creating sustainable solutions, especially in constructing "breathing buildings" that coexist harmoniously with nature.
This aligns with the industry's drive to meet international standards such as LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and other green building certifications that promote sustainability and efficiency.
Developers are upgrading their projects by focusing on eco-friendly materials, modern construction techniques, and smart space utilization. For example, buildings are increasingly designed with sustainable materials like specialized paints, wallpapers, and eco-friendly wall fabrics, which offer long-term durability and ease of maintenance, minimizing environmental impact. Traditional heavy materials like concrete and stone, once commonly used, are being replaced by lighter, less polluting alternatives.
Additionally, wet construction methods are being improved with lighter acoustic bricks, which enhance fire resistance, soundproofing, and reduce environmental pollution. These innovations are essential for businesses looking to meet market demands, as consumers and investors are increasingly prioritizing sustainability.
As technology advances, so too do the methods and materials available for construction, allowing for greater flexibility in design while minimizing the environmental footprint. This ongoing evolution in building materials and techniques is not just a trend, but a fundamental shift in how architecture is approached in the context of global environmental goals.
