Hello, I’m Hsiu-Hsiu Yu, an experienced designer with 25 years in engineering and design. I’ve had the privilege of leading a variety of residential, villa, and office space projects, crafting spaces that reflect a seamless blend of elegance, innovation, and practicality.
My approach focuses on creating harmonious designs that combine fashion, art, and creativity, all while embracing eco-friendly practices and stylish material usage. Guided by the philosophy of “aesthetics and practicality” and “uniqueness and innovation,” I’m passionate about transforming spaces into luxurious, functional works of art.
2What is your role in the company?
I serve as the lead interior designer and creative director. My role involves overseeing the design process, mentoring younger designers, and ensuring that every project aligns with the client’s vision while maintaining high standards of quality.

Our company focuses on high-end interior design, serving both residential and commercial sectors. We emphasize sustainable design and believe in creating spaces that not only look aesthetically pleasing but also enhance the well-being of their users.

It’s a great honor for us to be recognized at this level. For me and my team, it validates our hard work and dedication to pushing the boundaries of design. It also serves as motivation to continue innovating and striving for excellence in every project.
5Could you briefly explain about the winning project / title you entered into the 2024 TITAN Property Awards, and why you chose to enter this project?
The winning project is a luxury residential design that merges modern minimalism with natural elements. We entered this project because it showcases our ability to create sophisticated spaces that are both functional and environmentally conscious.
6What were the biggest challenges you faced with this project?
The biggest challenge was how to achieve a modern look while finding creative ways to incorporate elegant elements without compromising the overall clean design.
7How has winning this award developed your practice / career?
Winning this award has elevated our profile in the industry, leading to more prestigious projects and collaborations. It has also boosted our credibility with clients who are looking for designers that combine creativity with technical expertise.
8For Property Developer, Architect and Designer, what makes a “good” property design?
A good property design harmonizes the needs of the client with the aesthetics of the space, while considering sustainability and long-term usability. It should also evoke a sense of comfort and belonging.
9Describe your property design style and its main characteristics.
My design style can be described as modern American, focusing on overall ambiance and texture. I believe in creating simple yet refined spaces, emphasizing light and open layouts, to create a unique sense of comfort and happiness in the home.
10What made you / Why did you choose to become an artist / designer / real estate agent / property developer?
I’ve always been drawn to art and architecture. Becoming a designer allowed me to combine my passion for creativity with the technical aspects of building, giving me the opportunity to shape the spaces where people live and work.
11What’s your favorite kind of design and why?
I’m particularly fond of designs that blend modern technology with organic materials. This fusion creates a timeless quality that is both innovative and grounded in nature.

Our success is driven by our dedication to client satisfaction, our ability to adapt to new trends while maintaining core design principles, and our focus on sustainable, high-quality solutions.
13What makes your country specifically unique in the design industry?
Taiwan’s design industry uniquely blends Eastern and Western influences, offering a deep respect for tradition while embracing modern innovation. This allows for a versatile and rich design aesthetic that stands out in the global market.
14Do you think your country and its cultural heritage had an impact on your design process?
Absolutely. Taiwan's rich cultural heritage, particularly its emphasis on harmony with nature and balance, has significantly influenced my approach to creating spaces that not only look beautiful but also feel harmonious and serene.
15How has the country, you are based in, helped move your industry forward?
Taiwan's growing emphasis on sustainability and green living has pushed the design industry forward by encouraging us to adopt more eco-friendly materials and practices. This shift has aligned well with global trends, allowing us to remain competitive internationally.
16For Real Estate Agent, what does “real estate” mean to you?
Real estate is about creating meaningful spaces that people can call home, places where they feel safe, comfortable, and inspired. It's also about understanding how to balance aesthetics with functionality to meet clients' practical needs.

18Where do you see the evolution of the real estate industry in the next 5-10 years?
I foresee the real estate industry becoming more focused on sustainable practices and smart home technologies. There will be an increasing demand for energy-efficient buildings and designs that promote health and well-being.

I would recommend online courses in sustainability, design software tools like AutoCAD, and joining real estate or design associations for networking and professional development opportunities.
20Who has inspired you in your life, and why?
Nature has always been my greatest inspiration. The organic shapes, colors, and patterns in the natural world inspire me to create spaces that are both beautiful and calming.

The key to success is perseverance and the ability to adapt to change. Always stay curious, and never stop learning.
