1Please provide us with a brief bio of yourself.

Editor World: Writing, Editing, and Proofreading Services was founded by myself, Patti Fisher in 2010 to connect freelance editors and proof-readers with clients in need of fast, reliable proofreading and editing services. In 2023, the company added writing and rewriting services to its offerings.

2What is your role in the company?

I'm the founder and owner of Editor World.

3Please tell us more about your organization.

Editor World provides fast, high-quality writing, rewriting, editing, and proofreading services. In Editor World, the expert writers and editors are native English speakers from the USA, UK, and Canada who have years of experience with writing and editing.

Editor World provides content writing services, paraphrasing services, academic editing services, book editing services, dissertation editing services, same-day editing services, business editing services, and more. Editor World's on-demand writing, editing, and proofreading services are available 24/7, 365 worldwide.

4Congratulations! As the winner of the TITAN Business Awards, what does it mean for you and your team to receive this distinction?

Our team works hard to give clients a great experience when using our services, so it's always an honor to receive an award recognizing our efforts. It's amazing to receive another Gold from the 2023 TITAN Business Award at this time because the last few years have been so challenging for everyone.

5How has winning an international award help promote your organization?

My team at Editor World has been focused on expanding our international client base in recent years. Winning an international award gives me an added signal letting clients know that Editor World can be trusted to provide high-quality writing, editing, and proofreading services. I also enjoy learning about other businesses (and learning from them) through international awards like this.

6What are the challenges of developing / marketing your winning entry(ies)?

One challenge of developing a winning entry is finding the time to create a high-quality application with supporting materials.

7As a business owner, please tell us more about your ideation process.

As a business owner, I think about ways to improve the business frequently. I also talk to my team and clients constantly to find ways to improve the experience for my clients as well as for my writers and editors.

8What is your own definition of a successful team / organization / business?

My definition of a successful business is one that solves a problem or need in an ethical way while treating employees and clients fairly. Having grown up in a coal mining family, I've seen the negative effects from businesses that only care about making money for those at the top. That's something I often think about when making business decisions - how can we continue to expand the business while still giving clients (and writers and editors) the best experience possible.

9What led you / your organization to become successful within the industry you are currently in?

One of the key features of Editor World's business model is trying to make every transaction and interaction a good experience for both the client and the provider, whether it's a writer or editor. This helps me attract and retain the best editors, and is also behind having 65% of transactions from repeat clients. Persistence and consistent focus have also been important for my team.

10What have you found to be a hindering factor, for your business, during the entire course of the pandemic, and how did you overcome that hinderance?

One of the hindering factors since 2020 has been the change in sales trends. The sales cycles that I had prior to 2020 have not continued into the present and it's harder to predict demand each month. Some months that used to have high sales have been low, and vice versa.

I am lucky that I have been able to retain a team of high-quality writers and editors to meet the needs of my clients. Inflation is also a more recent hindering factor, but that's something that's affecting many small businesses.
