Having been in the automotive industry for over 100 years since its founding, Dodge continues to uphold their legacy as one of the Detroit automakers that paved the way who spearheaded the rise of American car brands throughout the rest of the world. However, unlike its rivals, Dodge has always prioritized performance and speed over everything else and continues to lead its own path in producing some of the fastest cars the streets have ever seen.
To further establish their grip on the performance aspect of cars over everything else, Dodge is gracious enough to provide their fastest possible Dodge Charger they could find in their inventory, gave it to a car YouTuber, let him do whatever he wants to it, and closing down a piece of road to form a 500ft drag strip for everyone to challenge each other!
The YouTuber in question that was lucky enough to be given such a high-performance car is none other than Westen Champlin himself. Making a name for himself in car YouTube by carving a niche that strays away from other types of content and quickly rose to popularity by driving home a military Hummer he bought from a surplus and almost dying from dehydration.
Now, Westen is given a Hellcat, the highest-performing Dodge Charger trim level you can buy straight from the lot, and immediately gets to work by installing even more high-performances parts on it to make it unbelievably fast! Beginning with purchasing an expensive twin-turbo kit and custom exhaust that takes advantage of the kit to its fullest.
The end result: Westen has built the most powerful Charger Hellcat to date, pushing the engines all the way up to 1,300 horsepower on proper high-octane racing fuel while also sounding like a monster! Finishing off the build with the proverbial cherry on top, Westen also commissioned a graphic designer to make a custom wrap that pays tribute to the fighter jets of old with a striking shark decal and yellow checkered accent pattern.
To find out if his efforts have paid off, he then takes it down to Woodward avenue and challenges other Dodge muscle cars that are built specially for drag racing and nothing else. And after fitting softer compound tires and having its fill of racing fuel, Westen left every single one of them in the dust as he pulls away from them with ease.
Dodge’s marketing campaigns have always been a fun affair to remind its prospecting customers and rivals who’s the boss when it comes to pure performance. This stunt of giving Westen Champlin their best-performing car they could find pushes that stigma even further!
