If you are unfamiliar with the LA scene and the tattoo industry, Kat Von D is a celebrated tattoo artist that released her sustainable luxury vegan footwear that shares the same values as herself. Her footwear brand is inspired by her love for Old Hollywood and Haute Couture which has influenced her fashion from a very young age.
What makes this campaign unique was the location the campaign was shot at, the distinctive blood red pool belongs to the founder, herself in her gorgeous Victorian mansion. Known for her flair for the dramatics, Good Kids successfully pulled off a campaign that reflects the founder and made quite a splash with the blood red pool in her backyard.
They also managed to masterfully shoot the campaign underwater with Alisa who specializes in underwater modelling and posing, in her life of work, the profession is referred to as a ‘mermaid’. The bewitching campaign featured her best-sellers with the ever-resilient Andrea Hunter as the able photographer.
The campaign was a 2022 Grand Winner in the NYX Marcom Awards under the Photography - Fashion category for brilliantly producing a campaign that drew the attention of many while still remaining true to the brand’s essence in a very compelling manner.
