Every year, millions of people around the world have fallen prey to suspicious scams and losing thousands, if not their entire savings to these shady individuals.
To combat this, QNET’s long-anticipated MAMA campaign launches in Ghana as the company’s first-ever 360-degree anti-scam marketing and advertising region promoted throughout the entire region.
The video begins with a dandy scammer promoting his shady direct-selling techniques and other scams to a crowd in the middle of a busy market, all the while promoting false promises to a meteoric rise in wealth.
As his misleading sales pitch continues, the mother of the scammer catches wind of his activities and chases him down with a comically-large wooden spoon and repeatedly hits him with it. While also telling her son sternly, “What did mama tell you?” and forcing him to reflect on his actions.
This hilarious and clever TV advertisement is a lighthearted and effective campaign of promoting awareness of how the direct selling industry actually works, while also pointing out the unethical practices and methods used by other seedy individuals who uses the name of others to benefit themselves.
When it comes to scammers cheating others out of their hard-earned money, you can bet on mama to come in and get them to stop!
