They say creativity comes in from all forms. Some from within, some from conflict, and even in the shower! The legends in the music world especially resort to other unconventional means to let their creativity run free.
Notes IPA is the unconventional brainchild of SingleCut Beersmiths and Toronto-based creative agency Zulu Alpha Kilo that combines the love of beer and music to effectively teach the basics of the guitar with every sip!
The Notes IPA is a pint of Indian Pale Ale brewed with fruits for a smooth and easy-to-drink beer at 7% ABV or 40 IBU. But where the creativity of the beer starts to shine is in the packaging and design of the can itself.
The packaging graphic printed on the can is designed in a way to mimic you hand into how you would normally hold the neck of the guitar, and shows the four basic guitar chords of C, D, G and E-minor on different cans.
The can itself is printed with two layers, a base layer with a matte finish and a second layer with a glossy finish for a tactile feeling to distinguish the position of where your fingers should go by feel. It even comes with a free injection-molded guitar pick attached to the can’s pull tab to get you to start playing!
And it doesn’t stop there! If you scan the can with Snapchat, you are also taken to a page where you can learn how to play with the key chords and make some original tunes with AR.
Notes IPA is the first beer of its kind that helps aspiring musicians to learn playing the guitar while also having fun while doing so!
