The London Design Awards proudly presents its impartial jurors that possesses an impressive set of skills which was sharpened into an expertise and will now adjudicate to help pave a way for aspiring designers.
The Grand Jury Panel members consists of professionals that are honored in the designing society that are internationally renowned for its outstanding contribution to society!
Tiago de Vale
Tiago de Vale, a senior architect of Tiago de Vale Architects that graduated from the prestigious University of Coimbra is currently a Senator and Member of the Assembly of the University. In his spare time, de Vale is an editor for the Design Media Publishing’s Urban Complex book accompanied by its Chinese edition by Liaoning Science and Technology Publishing House. With his success as an editor as his books saw a continued success in being published throughout the world, he has given lectures, signed articles on architecture, urban planning and rehabilitation in numerous publications. A man of great talent, he is also a juror for several awards worldwide from 2016 and 2017 and has gone on to win several international awards.
Florian Seidl
An experienced creative designer, Florian Seidl is currently Lavazza’s design manager in Italy. He has inaugurated a compact but a talented in-house team from the ground-up which he is solely responsible in designing corporate designs of Lavazza. Such projects include domestic coffee and espresso machines, professional office machines, vending solutions, tableware, accessories and packaging which has gone on to win several international design awards. Prior to contributing his skillsets to Lavazza, Seidl was a senior member of a the design team that unfolded the Fiat 500 successfully into a diverse range of models that is visible on the road. He has always had a passion in brand identity and is able to visualise the bigger picture when developing a project.
Benjamin Calleja
Benjamin Calleja is the proud CEO of Livit Design which is one of the world’s largest restaurant design company and is also the founder of Fast Fine Restaurant Group, a disruptive restaurant chain as well as a innovation lab to provide revolutionary guest experiences. He zeroes his focus on improving brand performances through guest experience design. His presence is ever present in 40 countries stretching over 5 continents that is developing new restaurants every 8 hours! Another esteemed title he holds is that he is one of the Partners of The Passionality Group that cultivates concepts in a responsible manner by supplying specialised and relevant business with professional advice in order to blossom their entity. Calleja is a prized member of the American Institute of Architects and Registered Architect in France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain and Sweden!
Rituparna Simlai
Renowned for her capability in designing, Rituparna Simlai is the principal architect and landscape architect of Studio Arth LLC who comes equipped with an immense experience and expertise that she garnered during her time working in design firms in Delhi, California and Floria. Such diverse projects included residential design, large master planning and infrastructure projects. In the span of two years under her management, the portfolio of Studio Arth LLC has expanded and made its way to landscape design for high-end residences in Coconut Grove, North Miami as well as New Delhi to work on researching and analysing ecologically-restorative and socially-just projects in Vietnam, China, Mozambique and Timor-Leste.
