They can also be made fun and give a great experience to the prospecting customer, and give them a reason to buy into it!
This week, in conjunction with our friends at the Vega Digital Awards for the second time. We are revisiting the Grand Jury Panel of the 2022 competition year and take a look at some of the stellar individuals that are the digital pioneers of the industry today. So let’s take a deeper look into their achievements and give them a warm Muse.World welcome chant!
Starting off with our first digital pioneer is Brendan Amoruso. A Producer and Video Editor with over 10 years of industry experience and founder of his own company, Luna Lyte, based in New York City. But did you know that the name of his company wasn’t thought up on the fly, but rather named after his beloved daughter? That’s pretty sweet!
During his years of producing working with some of the world’s award-winning productions in unique media environments from all over the world such as Agency Mirrorball, The Mighty Shed in the UK and other big advertising names such as Momentum, Subrosa and Darling. His portfolio has exploded into a seriously impressive one. Containing works from commercial spots, promos, branded documentaries and cultural case studies. All thanks to the researcher and historian blood than was passed down from his late father, a famous documentarian by the name of Marino Amoruso.
Brendan has also worked with a plethora of international brands throughout his entire lifetime. Brands that we all know and love such as Perrier, ESPM, Goldman Sachs, Fernet-Branca and more. Garnering countless award wins from international award programs worldwide such as over at our friends at Vega Digital Awards, NYX Awards, and MUSE Creative Awards. Today, Brendan still heads the helm of Luna Lyte while also being a part of the Grand Jury Panel of the 2022 Vega Digital Awards. Welcome aboard, Brendan!
Another digital pioneer and the only one here with a IMDb page to back up his success story, Michael Wong is a Chinese Creative Director, Film Director and Producer wrapped up into one epic package after having spent 16 years as an art director and creative director at an ad agency before leveling up his career to founding his own company, Michael Wong Films as an independent.
Born in Malaysia and moving to China in the late 90s, Michael’s career soared to great heights with the world’s best agencies such as Ogilvy, BBDO, TBWA, Grey and Saatchi & Saatchi. 10 years later, he’s won award after award that tallied up tot over 50 creative awards.
But winning the advertising industry wasn’t enough for him. So naturally, he dipped his toes into the filmmaking scene and got his startup as a writer slash director role for a viral video campaign for Lenovo. Which is then featured in markets such as India, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, South Africa, South East Asia and more. Also included in his portfolio is BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Citroen, Foton Daimler, Microsoft, JD.com, Celcom, and to name a few more.
It wasn’t long until he made his debut in the world of cinema with his short film, ‘The Story of 90 Coins’. Which netted him a whopping 60+ accolades from international fil festivals all over the world. His most recent one, ‘The Tattooist’, was just awarded best trailer at HorrorHaus Film Festival, Best Gore, Best Editing and countless other nominations from film festivals catered specifically to horror! His works, both advertising and cinematic have been featured in Shots, Trendwatching and Graphis Magazine.
Today, Michael Wong still heads his own film company. At the same time, he is the co-partner at Scream Zone Entertainment where he brainstorms crazy ideas for Beijing’s very own Scream Zone Escape Room. When he is not too busy scarring his fans for life, he also made his presence known in the Vega Digital Awards Grand Jury Panel for 2022!
Oscar Solano Brenes is the textbook definition of being an industry mogul. He is a professional within the advertising, marketing and strategy professional within those fields. While also dominating all three areas with the experience of a senior strategist in creative, digital and media agencies. Which allowed him to excel greatly in strategic planning, content strategy, detection of opportunities, social media, branding, data-driven strategy and above all, creativity.
Oscar had led creative and digital projects of all kinds throughout the entire Central Americas. Specifcally, in Mexico, Caribbean, Ecuador and Peru. Creating works for established companies such as Coca-Cola, Heineken, BMW, Toyota, American Express, Samsung, Netflix, Taco Bell, McDonald’s, Renault, and many more.
Today, Oscar Solano Brenes is the Chief Creative Oficer for Porter Novelli, a strategic-creative firm that continues to create and follow through with large projects for renowned brands from all over the world. And to lead the digital landscape, he also takes part in the judging of entry submissions for the 2022 Vega Digital Awards as part of the Grand Jury Panel this year!
With the combined experience spread across different industries of the collection of juries for the 2022 Vega Digital Awards, the digital landscape is vastly changing at speeds that are unheard of with newer innovations, methods and trends sprouting up with every passing minute.
