The MUSE Design Awards Jury assembles a dream team of judges, harnessing a wealth of expertise from a vibrant and illustrious community of professionals who have not only risen to the top of their fields but have also left an indelible mark of excellence.
Tiago do Vale, an architect holding a degree from the University of Coimbra, currently serves as a Senator and Member of the University Assembly. He also serves as an editor for Design Media Publishing's book "Urban Complex" and its Chinese edition, "城市综合体," published by Liaoning Science and Technology Publishing House. His books have been published globally, and he has delivered lectures and contributed articles on architecture, urban planning, and rehabilitation in various publications.
In addition to his writing, Tiago do Vale is an active lecturer on architectural topics. He served as a curator for the "Urban Dialogues, International Architecture Congress" in 2014 in Portugal, as well as for the "Mesturas, International Architecture Encounters Galicia-Portugal" in Spain and Portugal for the 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 editions. He also had the privilege to contribute his experience by becoming a judge to several known competitions.
Rituparna Simlai, with her outstanding design talent, has gained valuable experience and expertise through positions at renowned design firms in Delhi, California, and Florida. Her work has spanned a wide range of projects, from residential design to large-scale master planning and infrastructure endeavors, in geographically diverse locations. In the early stages of her career, she has already received numerous awards and accolades for her design prowess and client service, both within her own firm and externally.
Under her leadership, her studio's portfolio expanded within just two years, encompassing not only landscape design for upscale residences but also research and analysis for ecologically-restorative and socially-conscious projects in various countries, including Vietnam, China, Mozambique, and Timor-Leste. Rituparna also holds the roles of Principal Architect and Landscape Architect at Studio Arth LLC.Furthermore, Rituparna was recognized with the Exceptional Emerging Professional Award by the Florida chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA).
Samuel Chuffart, the Global Design Director at Icona and a founding member of the company since 2010, has played a pivotal role in its growth. Over twelve years, Icona has become a preferred choice for global automakers in the new energy and mobility vehicle sectors. Chuffart's design contributions at Icona include the celebrated Fuselage, award-winning Nucleus, EdisonFuture EFT-1, Changan Lumin Corn, Weltmeister Maven concept, and the groundbreaking Icona Vulcano, the world's first titanium supercar.
Before joining Icona, Mr. Chuffart began his career at Nissan's European design studio in Munich and later worked in London, Michigan, and California, where he contributed to several acclaimed design concepts and production cars. He then served as a Senior Designer at Jaguar Land Rover, notably contributing to the creation of the next-generation L405 Range Rover in 2012. Subsequently, he became Chief Designer at Stile Bertone in Turin, where he led successful international design projects.
