With a rich history and even richer lands fit to grow exceptional-quality grapes for some of the world’s highly sought-after wines, Portugal has generations worth of winemaking history. The Cardoso family is one such example of a family of winemakers with a remarkable track record of producing the world’s best wines.
To celebrate their heritage and influential history in the wine world, Quinta do Piloto has created a special batch of two of the Moscatéis in the world and contracted the world-renowned Omdesign group to craft a packaging worthy of housing the legacy of the Cardoso family. And what a packaging design it is!
Beginning with the first barrier of the unboxing experience, there are two versions of the boxes that holds a different style of Moscatéis. With the only visual differentiation of the two being the exterior color. However, both boxes have the same carved wooden top lid carved from cherry wood and ordained tastefully with gold. The lid, when opened, also reveals some extra details such as the portrait of the patriarch of the founding family of the Cardoso winemakers and a description of his family history. And as a cherry on top, a gold sigil is placed inside it.
But you can’t simply open the box and grab the bottle of exclusive wine just yet! As a keyhole is hidden within the geometry of the box and a key that comes with your purchase of the wine will be needed to unlock it before you can savor one of the rarest wines in the world.
The interior of the packaging are also incredibly luxurious and gives an addicting and lush feel. Lined with pillowy-soft alcantara fabric in a trademark shade of blue that keeps both bottles safe during shipping. And within, an immaculately sculpted bottle lies within the main section of the box. Flanked at it sides, there are two artisanal-grade wine glasses made specifically to accentuate the flavors of the wine. Also included in the packaging is a very special accessory, a gold-plated silver spoon with the Quinta do Piloto’s name engraved on its handles.
Though incredibly limited to a total of 50 bottles, but you still want a great bottle of wine to savor at home or as a exceptional gift to a important person in your life, head on over to the official Quinta do Piloto website and discover some other wines that you might like!
