The Architectural Designs of the 2023 London Design Awards

The very skeleton of architectural designs are the inspiration of many and imperative to build a solid foundation that defines an era, a form of tribute as well as taking the next step in monumentalising history.

Club Med Lijiang | JUND

Found in the vibrant city of Lijiang, Club Med Lijiang is managed by Fosun Property who are the first independently constructed project of the Premier Series and the only hotel located in the Baisha Cultural Preservation Area. Nestled against the background of a beautiful snow-capped mountains and pristine clean lakes and rivers where migratory birds make their way to a better living. The designers of JUND took inspiration from the nature surrounding the hotel into Club Med’s architectural design. The mountain, the waters and the visual experience of the bustling city were incorporated into the design, a part of the city lives in the building as they pay tribute to great city.

GREENLAND VIENA | DNA Barcelona Architects

This beautiful mix-architectural design is a peculiar residential co-living, hotel and commercial eco building built with microapartments and common areas that is within the vicinity of a lake, recreational areas for sport activities, restaurants and boutiques! DNA Barcelona Architects’s objective was to produce a co-living and co-working space that would represent an international smart city all while zeroing its focus on building a self-sufficient community that involves nature! The complex incorporates three basics of life, namely, basic needs, entertainment and work.

Evanescent | Atelier Sisu

Immersive, light and sound temporary environment are three splendid words that would best describe Evanescent but it is rather much more than that! Evanescent aims to immortalise the concept on ephemerality and transience in a visual form, the bubble. The artwork came to fruition from the pandemic when the world was at a standstill and everything we came to appreciate would slip away from us. Atelier Sisu strive to convey the feeling of transient beauty and the pounding desire to live in the moment through a bubble, something so temporary yet so beautiful for the the Tourism and Events Queensland (Australia).
