Interview with Dr. Tina Persson from Sweden

Dr. Tina Persson

Dr. Tina Persson, a visionary coach with a background in academia and the corporate sector, holds an ICF PCC certification as an Executive, Career & Leadership Coach. Specializing in female leadership, emotional intelligence, and adaptability, these skills shape her educational and coaching business.

I am Dr. Tina Persson and I am a visionary coach with a multifaceted background from both the university and the corporate world. I hold an ICF PCC certification as an Executive, Career & Leadership Coach, specializing in female leadership, emotional intelligence, and adaptability. These skills have played a crucial role in shaping my educational and coaching business.

Additionally, I would say that I am a highly sought-after speaker, frequently facilitating workshops and seminars for senior leaders, c-level executives, and high-potential individuals to help them achieve their goals. I am also an expert in leadership and team coaching facilitation.

Having spent nearly two decades in academia, I transitioned to the staffing industry, where I gained eight years of expertise as a Recruiter and Talent Sourcer. Leveraging my diverse experience, I empower researchers to transition smoothly from academia to rewarding business-driven careers. I'm thrilled to say that my guidance has helped hundreds of researchers worldwide launch their new careers successfully.

As a successful businesswoman with an unwavering entrepreneurial spirit, I proudly serve as the Founder of Passage2Pro AB and Aptahem AB, a biotech start-up featured in over 20 scientific publications. Furthermore, I am the inventor of 2 scientific patents and hosts the popular PhD Career Stories podcast. This passionate professional works out at the CrossFit Gym when I am not coaching.

I'm the Founder and CEO of Passage2Pro AB. I also hold an ICF Certified PCC Coach and Trainer role. I view myself as someone who energizes, drives, and facilitates growth and transformation, always looking for opportunities to innovate and develop my business and coaching skills.

Passage2Pro AB is an educational and coaching company. We help individuals and organizations navigate a rapidly changing world shaped by AI. In the next 10 years, we expect more changes than we've seen in the last century. Our mission is to guide people in adapting to these changes in their careers, leadership, and teamwork. Our goal at Passage2Pro is to stay at the cutting edge of our industry.

We're also certified in AQ (Adaptability Intelligence), a revolutionary tool that measures organizations' adaptability. It provides practical solutions for organizations and individuals to prepare for future challenges.

The educational and coaching industry is experiencing rapid change due to two key factors. First, the COVID-19 pandemic shifted the industry online, allowing coaches to work globally and breaking down geographical barriers.

Second, the digital transformation driven by AI demands significant up-skilling for both organizations and individuals. Consequently, there will be a substantial demand for the educational and coaching industry to guide and support this transformative process.

This means a great deal to me, and I'm truly honored. My team and I put in much effort to transform and reshape the company during the pandemic. In fact, we saw it as an opportunity to bring Passage2Pro into the digital realm and broaden our services. Winning this award affirms that we made the right decisions.

This award opens new opportunities and fills us with pride for what we've accomplished and what we can offer to future organizations and individuals. Only when people know about us can we make a difference. Therefore, this award holds great significance for us.

Getting noticed is a challenge! Social media is flooded with marketing and information, making it tough to stand out and showcase our value. It's also tricky to identify potential future clients interested in our services. Currently, our primary source of new business is referrals.

It's a team and an organization that collaborates, finding happiness and fulfillment in their work. They trust their capability to confront challenges, learn from their failures, and turn them into success stories.

Passage2Pro's success resulted from hard work, dedication, and the identification of a unique niche when the company was founded. Right from the start, Passage2Pro stood out by offering something that didn't exist in the market then.

From the beginning, Passage2Pro aimed to provide services to the global market. With that goal in mind, we sought support on a worldwide scale right from the start. All awards and recognition have come from the worldwide community, and we are deeply honored.

We viewed the COVID-19 pandemic as our chance to reshape our organization into a digital format and expand into the United States. The pandemic was the push we needed to work harder and stay more focused on our mission.

It's part of the digital and technological transformation that enables small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) such as Passage2Pro to operate globally. This opportunity allows us to assist and support and establish new connections and foster relationships beyond what I could have imagined 15 years ago when I began dreaming of owning a company.

I have a range of resources, but here are a few books I'd like to share:

A) 'The Dan Sullivan Question – Ask it and Transform Anyone’s Future' - This book transformed my approach to identifying clients open to change. I've even developed a digital coaching tool based on its questions.

B) 'Moonshot Innovation' by Ross Thornley - This book provided me with fantastic tools to guide and transform organizations by merging human elements with technology in today's tech-driven world.

C) 'Unlearn' by Barry O’Reilly - This book deepened my understanding of the mechanisms behind facilitating and encouraging the process of unlearning old habits and replacing them with new ideas and behaviors.

These books have reshaped my coaching approach and enhanced my comprehension of the behaviors we need to change and unlearn to guide ourselves, our teams, and our company into the future.

Thinking about the changes we'll experience in the next ten years is beyond my imagination. But by staying open-minded, curious, and ready to quickly adapt and unlearn old 'ways of being,' I am sure many exciting developments in our business will happen.

I enjoy watching movies, and they serve as a great source of inspiration for me. One character who consistently inspires me is Captain Kirk from Star Trek Enterprise. I love his attitude and leadership!

When you think you have done everything, the odds are against you – Take a risk and enjoy the ride!
