Shaly Guo is a talented New York-based fashion designer, Design Director of Fame Fashion House, Co-founder of ETFashion Couture Enlightenment Instructor, Committee of the Council of Asian Designers of America and currently in the process of establishing her own brand.

She previously studied at the prestigious School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) where she majored in fashion design. Her work is characterized by an imaginative flair with a touch of boldness and has been showcased at a variety of events including Italy Florence Costume Colloquium V, New York Fashion Week, Austin Fashion Week, and Chicago Fashion Week as well as international fashion magazines such as Vogue, Teeth，Sanotion, Soleil, etc.Prior to starting her own independent clothing line, Shaly Guo, she worked extensively under internationally renowned brands such as Anna Sui, Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Club Monaco, etc.

I’ve been designing since kindergarten (using paper to cut garments for Babies). I think fashion design chose me, not the other way around.

I love colorful designs. It shares the meaning of happiness. I am currently working on woman's wear but I would like to move to kids wear in the near future.

I think a good design is a creative design that also has commercial value.

I always have a passion for old toys as it can be used as imaginative tools to cross the boundaries of reality and float into a fantasy world. I create my own prints when I design and I love colorful things!

I travel all over the world to catch design ideas, using Photoshop to create my unique prints. I photos I take and other related images to make a collage mood board, which I will transfer them into my designs after that.

Yes, of course! My design always has some Chinese characters in it. Even my logo derives from ancient Chinese sculpture and my icon print is a Chinese fabric tiger. I love my country and culture so much, and I wish I can share my love for my country in my designs to other people.
