Remarkable Performers Expressing Art Through LIT Music

Cloud Ossuary

Douglas Knehans has paired two new works made for orchestra with a soloist for his newest disc: Cloud Ossuary. Inside the disc is a creation of Knehan – Mist Waves for solo violin and strings performed in this recording by the brilliant Czech violinist Pavel Wallinger. Recorded with immense fidelity and color, in addition to Wallingers’ keening lines, it sits wonderfully against the withheld backdrop of the Brno Philharmonic strings. On to the main hit, Cloud Ossuary is set in three related movements in a fast-slow-slow arrangement. The performances by the orchestra, conductor Mikel Toms and most important the fine soloists on this disc form a significant and emotional statement by Knehans and his collaborators.

HOPE New Album

Paz del Castillo has many roles, a pianist, composer, producer and also a piano teacher who oriented her career towards the composition of instrumental music. With her album – MOODS FOR PIANO, she fabricated a revelation in the world of music. Consecutively, the album won a great reception from national and international critics, especially in the United States. At one point, it even got to the top of the charts for 5 months repeatedly, straight to the Top 10 spot on ZONEMUSIC REPORTER. The album contains nine original tracks, revolving around the theme of hope.

Frenzied Whispers

Alicia Enstrom, the main performer of Frenzied Whispers was filmed during the pandemic in conjunction with Naxos America’s Classical Music Day. As the first movement of her “Looping Concerto for Violin, Electronics, and Orchestra”, the entire concerto is a five-movement work centered on looping melodic material between soloist and symphony where all technology and additional electronics are triggered by the soloist on stage. Her main intention within the majority of her own creations is the ability to perform in varied ways, whether solo or looping pedals, with an orchestra or a variety of musicians in differing formations that accompanies attractive art visuals.

Brian Field – Vocal Works

Brian Field walks the path of an ever-evolving career, where he has penned music for everything, ranging from orchestra and chamber settings to ballet and television. In the process, he even sprinkled in some influences of post-romanticism, minimalism, and jazz. His wonderful album – Vocal Works on Navona Records, allows the human voice to be the main emphasis, while Brian does not shy away from his brand of compositional diversity.
