The long-awaited CGI trailer and game intro was orchestrated by the brilliant minds over at Dash Dot Creations for Observer System Redux, a remake of a cyberpunk title birthed by Bloober Team S.A. The aesthetically horror-focused trailer was rendered using Unreal Engine 4.
Dash Dot Creations employed a variation of creative tools and tampered with the camera movement and light as well as added glitches and disturbing details to create a futuristic, somber and dense atmosphere of this thriller game.
The protagonist of this game is Detective Łazarski who is played by the late Rutger Hauer, his last project. In this very trailer, the team scanned Hauer’s entire face and animated it to perfection, giving it justice to his legacy.
The entire trailer was a cinematic masterpiece from start to finish for an opening scene, an ideal way to launch a trailer of a video game set in Poland that has everybody itching to play! It is no wonder how the creative team earned a Canopus Win Medal by the VEGA Digital Awards under the category Video/Online video (Single) – Animation.
