A singular giraffe comes into view, perhaps with its herd grazing nearby, with the clouds looming in the background in Masai Mara, Kenya or locally known as The Mara, named in honor of the Maasai people. This heavenly ecosystem hosts the infamous Great Migration and is one of the ten Wonders of the World.
Nitin Michael, a talented amateur photographer perfectly captured a moment where nature is in its beautiful state, commanding the attention of the audience and the majestic giraffe standing tall with all its might.
Mara in the local Maasai language means ‘spotted’ which is perhaps what the giraffe is observing from a distance but is the real trouble on the other side? It also means short bushy trees that ‘dot’ the landscape. The dark blue sky signifies that a downfall will pour all over the plains of Masai Mara. The giraffe remains possibly unbothered by the potential downpour maybe because it has fared through worse.
