This week, to commemorate the start of Season 2 of the NYX Game Awards, Muse.World will be revealing the Grand Jury Panel who had a hand developing some of the biggest AAA titles of the year, as well as being passionate gamers too!
An architect-turned-video game developer and Game Design lecturer for SAE UAE, Ahmad Al-Natsheh is a unique breed of video game developer that used his years of experience in composing music, engineering, and construction management to found Khosouf Studio in the UAE.
He is also a full-time lecturer teaching game design at SAE UAE, and teaching entire classrooms-worth of aspiring students and game developers to continue to push the bar with new and experimental methods in creating games.
Today, Khosouf Studio has had several major and ambitious releases in the local scene with hopes that they will break out from the UAE and make waves on an international scale. Including one for a shopping centre where customers can catch deals through virtual reality and garnering lots of marketing traction furing the Dubai Shopping Festival. The NYX Game Awards is blessed to have such a talented individual and team to be part of the Grand Jury Panel!
Once a former technical translator for Huawei and handled sensitive company documentation for Xiamen Meiya Pico Information Co., Ltd for an additional 4 years, Xianzhe Li has now expanded his horizons in video game development and founded WhisperGames who topped the charts on the Steam store with Disco Elysium and Conan Exiles.
With his studio having teamed up with several big-name developers in the industry, WhisperGames has had a hand in producing some of the greatest gaming titles to have come out in recent years in China and all over the world without you even realizing!
Today, Xianzhe Li has a special place on the NYX Game Awards Grand Jury Panel and sees great potential in the submitted games in the awards program accumulated in his experience of fairly evaluating over 10,000 games in his career. Now that is a true gamer at heart and we’re grateful to have him here!
For those in the industry that is in the know, Justin Burnham is a man that needs no introduction. But in case you don’t, here are some career highlights that changed the face of video gaming and culture to this very day!
Justin was part of the game industry since day one after coming out of the Academy of Interactive Sciences and into D.I.C.E. Summit as a project manager in 2007. And it is from there that his career took off like a NASA space shuttle.
QA testing, licensing music for the next big game project, business development. All at different contract houses to build up his experience in the industry.
His real claim to fame would come at a rapid pace when he joined South by Southwest, better known as SXSW, and founded SXSW Gaming as soon as he hopped on board and turned it into a fast-growing gaming juggernaut at the time. He also joined another indie titan at the time, Devolver Digital fresh from Hotline Miami hype and fame.
Justin felt SXSW wasn’t enough and unfulfilled, so naturally he helped DreamHack expand its brand and turned its festival presence in gaming up to 110% all thanks to Good Shepherd Entertainment, a publisher that is majority owned by DevolverDigital. Combining gaming and lifestyle together into a culture that DreamHack still cultivates to this day. Today, he is the Portfolio Director and CP of Creative at Good Shepherd Entertainment and Dreamhack where he continues to stand at the helm at.
