However, only those who are able to channel their inner performance souls can take on the mantle of the best performers. With that in mind, here is a list of jurors who shall honor the variety of entrants through this year’s competition.
Based in New York City, Lachi has many titles to her name, recording artist, award winning director, songwriter, novelist, you name it. Creating fantastic music, they have frequently been featured on international TV, Radio, and also feature films. Not only that, she has had mentions of her work in the New York Times, HuffPost, NPR, and also Oprah Radio, adding more weight to her personal achievements and also titles. Most frequently, her songs are toplined for SONY, Universal, EDM.com, and also Warner projects, making her name known through the industry.
At the same time, Lachi is also a Grammy advocacy committee member, as well as an esteemed member of the Respectability National Women’s Speaker’s Bureau on Disability Inclusion. She represents the strongest of voices for advocacy within the area of arts, while also being a representative of those with disability in media. Fulfilling all the necessary criteria, she is truly one of the most influential individuals in the jury panel that will serve as a foothold for future brilliance yet to come.
Next is Natalie Jean, an award winning, multi-nominated singer, songwriter, and performer. Besides, she also belongs to the voting members of the Recording Academy (GRAMMYS). Being a talented singer, Natalie is versatile in her performances, as she sings and writes for many genres including Jazz, Pop, R&B, Blues, World, Rock, Country, Americana, and so many others that expresses her flexibility on music. She is also heavily influenced by famous artists, which led her to conduct different performances in various countries throughout the world.
In addition, she also made an appearance on a Jazz station called WPFW in Washington DC, as she was nominated for over 100 times because of her music and has won many awards in efforts of her talents. In fact, Natalie has released 6 albums in total already, not even including several singles of her own. With her abilities, she is currently a host of the “Chatting with Nat” broadcast on the SIMRadio Network, while being a co-founder of Sisters in Music (SIM). The organization promotes and encourages educational opportunities among women, opening up new possibilities for the LIT Talent Awards during her judging process.
Moving on, Gary Edwards is the third member of the jury panel that will be highlighted in this article. A composer of classical, musical theatre, and film music, he is based on Coeur d’Alene, Idaho who has written jazz, rock/pop. R&B gospel, and country music. He has made an appearance for his performance in Washington, Argentina, Russia, and many other countries. He even played together with both the Spokane and Louisville Symphonies, intertwining their music together to create a masterpiece.
Gary was fairly emphasized on his goal to bring together different cultures and people altogether through his music. In total, he has already written 8 musicals, 1 opera, 3 screenplays, 2 concertos, and hundreds of pieces of music. One of his most recent works is the production of a Tribute towards the concert of Mildred Bailey, transcribing and conducting all the music within. Besides that, Gary was also the playwright/composer in Residence for the Ignite Theater in Spokane Valley, Washington. These contributions have led to a spot on the jurors, giving the entrants variety when it comes to their entries.
