As experienced designers, these esteemed judges consist of honourary professionals, experienced designers, and respected experts chosen from a diverse range of industries across the world. Their expertise in using their knowledge and skills shapes the design community to the next level.
Florian Seidl
Florian Seidl is a Design Manager at Lavazza, based in Turin. His extensive experience allows him to oversee Lavazza's corporate designs, encompassing a wide range of products, from household coffee and espresso machines to professional office equipment and vending solutions. Additionally, products like tableware, accessories, and award-winning packaging are not to be dismissed.
Before his role in Lavazza, he was a senior member of the design team that developed the Fiat 500 into a diverse range of models and many other projects that now can be seen on the road. He adheres to a strong feeling for brand identity and the bigger picture beyond projects as a mere product.
Seidl's expertise in design has been pivotal in establishing Lavazza as a significant force in modern Italian design. His influence in the design industry, marked by innovative thinking and a refined aesthetic sensibility, has set new standards that extend beyond the brand itself. With a sharp creative vision, honed through years of experience, he has not only elevated Lavazza's design portfolio but also shaped broader design trends, making a lasting impact on the industry.
Angie Liu
Angie Liu is a highly skilled full-stack UX/UI designer, specialising in crafting exceptional user experiences that combine visual appeal with intuitive functionality. With a solid foundation in visual and information design, she expertly organises complex information and creates visually impactful, user-centred designs. Currently serving as Senior UX Designer at Blizzard Entertainment, Angie brings a wealth of experience in designing interactive, elegant solutions across digital platforms, including apps and games.
Her expertise spans the entire design spectrum, from user experience and interface design to interactive game design. Angie has also worked with prominent gaming companies like NetEase, contributing her talents to game UI design.
Passionate about user-centric and interactive design, Angie’s interests also extend to animation, product design, and exploring the world. Her creative approach reflects her global perspective, making her work both innovative and widely accessible.
Rahul Jain
Rahul is a Senior Product Designer at Netflix, with over eight years of experience in creating innovative digital products. His approach to design is driven by a deep curiosity, a holistic mindset, and a talent for storytelling, allowing him to craft compelling and intuitive user experiences. His primary focus is on developing next-generation enterprise applications, blending functionality with forward-thinking design.
Before joining Netflix, Rahul made a significant impact at Google, where he redesigned key user experiences for billions of users on platforms like Gmail, Drive, and Meet. His portfolio also includes developing advanced tools for YouTube ads, shaping core features for Google’s cloud gaming service, Stadia, and creating visionary concepts for autonomous vehicles in collaboration with IDEO and Ford Labs.
Rahul's rich experience spans both startup and enterprise environments, providing him with a unique perspective in the product design landscape. With a Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction from Indiana University and a background in Electronics Engineering, he combines technical insight with creative problem-solving. Beyond his professional endeavours, he is passionate about advising startups, mentoring aspiring designers, and indulging in sci-fi shows and spontaneous adventures.
