I’m Ozkan Oz, an inventor and entrepreneur with a strong background in creative direction and product design. Over the years, I’ve led multiple successful projects across various industries, culminating in the creation of CONIAX—a revolutionary NFC technology product. My experience in the media and technology sectors, combined with a passion for innovative solutions, has fueled my journey toward establishing CONIAX as a leader in the smart technology space.
2What inspired you to be involved in your respective industry?
My inspiration comes from a blend of creativity and a desire to simplify complex processes. I’ve always believed in the power of technology to transform everyday experiences, and my passion for innovation led me to explore NFC technology. Seeing how it could bridge the gap between physical and digital worlds inspired me to create products that make interactions seamless and magical.
3What is your role in the agency, and what traits should a professional in marketing, media and communications possess to be successful in their role?
As an Inventor, CEO, and the founder of CONIAX, I oversee all aspects of product development, strategy, and marketing. A professional in this industry should possess creativity, adaptability, and an in-depth understanding of technology trends. These traits enable them to craft compelling stories and solutions that resonate with audiences and drive brand success.

CONIAX is a trailblazing technology company specializing in NFC-enabled products such as Smart Magnets, Smart Frames, and Smart Canvas. We focus on merging traditional objects with digital interactivity, creating a unique user experience that requires no apps—just a simple tap of a smartphone. Our innovative approach has garnered global recognition, including multiple award nominations and a recent investment that valued our company at $10 million.
5What do you think is the definition of a successful marketing, media or communications project / presentation?
A successful project is one that not only captures attention but also deeply resonates with the target audience. It should convey a clear and compelling message that drives engagement and action. Success is also measured by the ability to tell a story that not only meets but exceeds the audience’s expectations, ultimately creating a lasting impact.

My work style is centered around creativity, collaboration, and a strong focus on innovation. I believe in fostering a collaborative environment where ideas can flow freely, leading to breakthrough solutions. This approach has been instrumental in my ability to develop products that are both unique and impactful, allowing me to stay ahead of industry trends.
7Tell us about your ideation process.
My ideation process begins with identifying a problem or an unmet need. From there, I explore creative solutions that blend technology with simplicity. I value brainstorming sessions with my team, where we challenge each other’s ideas and refine them until we arrive at a concept that’s both innovative and feasible. Prototyping and testing are critical steps to ensure the idea is practical and market-ready.

Winning an international award has significantly elevated our brand’s credibility and visibility. It has opened doors to new opportunities, including partnerships and collaborations that might not have been possible otherwise. The recognition has also boosted our team’s morale and driven us to strive for even greater achievements.
10What are the challenges of your winning entry(s)?
One of the main challenges was educating the market about a completely new product category. Since our products are the first of their kind, there was no existing market or customer base. We had to invest heavily in awareness campaigns and demonstrations to help people understand the value and functionality of our products.
11How has the country you are based in contribute towards your ideation process?
Being based in the United States, particularly in Houston, has provided access to a vibrant tech community and a wealth of resources. The innovative spirit and entrepreneurial culture here have been invaluable in driving our ideation process. The diverse market also offers insights into different consumer needs, helping us refine our products to appeal to a broader audience.
12What are the current trends in the marketing, media and communications industries that you are most excited about?
I’m particularly excited about the integration of AI and machine learning in marketing, which allows for more personalized and data-driven strategies. The growing focus on sustainability and ethical marketing is also something that aligns with our values at CONIAX, as we aim to create products that are both innovative and environmentally responsible.

Networking with peers and mentors is another great way to refine ideas and gain new perspectives.
15Where do you see the evolution of these industries in the next 5-10 years?
In the next 5-10 years, I see a continued convergence of technology and creativity, with AI playing an even greater role in marketing and media. Personalized and immersive experiences, such as those enabled by AR and VR, will become more mainstream. Additionally, there will be a greater emphasis on sustainability and ethical practices, as consumers become more conscious of the impact of their choices.
16Who inspired you in your life, and why?
I lost my dad in a traffic accident when I was 12, which forced me to start working just a month later. This experience ingrained a deep sense of responsibility in me, and I've been a hard worker ever since, always striving to take care of my family, especially my mom. Despite having an artistic and creative mind, life’s challenges have also made me disciplined and determined—qualities that are often rare in the creative field. This balance of creativity and discipline has shaped who I am today.
17What is your key to success? Any parting words of wisdom?
The key to success is a combination of creativity, persistence, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. It’s important to stay true to your vision while being open to new ideas and feedback. My advice to aspiring entrepreneurs is to never give up, no matter how tough things get—believe in your vision and keep pushing forward.
