Japan's regulatory framework has been instrumental in advancing the Web3 space and cryptocurrency industry. It’s a strategic response to past missed opportunities, driving forward a proactive framework for digital assets. Spearheaded by the Financial Services Agency (FSA), stringent guidelines ensure stability and investor protection. The Japan Virtual Currency Exchange Association (JVCEA), involving top industry executives, collaborates closely with regulators to set and uphold standards.

Despite global market volatility, Japan's controlled approach has led to only about three dozen cryptocurrencies being approved and listed on exchanges compared to approximately over 25,000 cryptocurrencies listed on global exchanges, which highlights Japan’s commitment to fostering a responsible environment.

Our adherence to Japan's strict regulations and demanding standards in building our RYO project has equipped us with resilience and ensures long-term stability as we expand globally.

The lack of the ability to travel. We held a major event in Japan 2 weeks before the world shut down. I flew back to America right after our event for what was supposed to be a short trip. The trip ended up being over 16 months due to Japan locking down its borders. I could not return under any circumstances. About that time Zoom was launching, which allowed me and my team to communicate on a daily basis to navigate the project forward.

I'm particularly enthused about the emergence of new algorithm protocols in the blockchain industry that are being created. These developments are proof that this Industry is evolving to a place where the technology will finally reach what it was intended for in the beginning - everyday people.
