I am a digital creative based in New York. I worked for advertising agencies and studios, creating innovative digital campaigns using augmented reality, media apps and social media. In 2019, I co-founded Toratora, an online platform that organizes surprise trips all over Europe. We created an algorithm that uses machine learning and AI to create unique travel experiences based on the inner desires of the users.
I worked in e-commerce for years before jumping over to the creative side of marketing. I learned by doing, in particular how to craft an idea, that is the most important step of the process.
We founded Toratora because we love traveling. We understood that the best part of a journey isn’t the destination per se, but to reach the best travel experience. With this in mind, Toratora wants to take care of every aspect of the trip, from food and accommodation to the activities to do on-site. Our algorithm studies and processes the data provided by the user and finds the right combination for the traveler's needs.
I think that the best communication has three main characteristics: to be simple, clever, and interactive. We need to involve people in the process by using ideas that come directly from the user pool.
I have a design thinking approach. I found it really useful to apply the user experience process from the early stages. Iteration is the key: brainstorming, testing, and iteration are the ingredients for great ideas.
We are honored to receive this award and we believe that the NYX Marcom Award is a renowned recognition of our efforts and skills.
A new trend that I like is shooting video in vertical for social media. It’s a new and unusual format that gives unseen prospectives to users.
