1Please give us a brief bio of yourself and your design background.

FULL WANG INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT CO., LTD. is a Taiwan-listed brand group. It has been deeply involved in the construction industry in Taiwan for 30 years. FULL WANG INTERNATIONAL has always adhered to the original aspiration, taking nature as a teacher, and establishing classic buildings in the city!

Regardless of the planning and design, construction method, quality, or after-sales service of FULL WANG INTERNATIONAL, FULL WANG has no rest, always moving forward stead¬¬¬ily with enthusiasm and faith.

For a long time, FULL WANG INTERNATIONAL has extracted high-quality and high-end quality, and spared no expense in hiring a luxury housing team. The LA VIE Architecture project was designed in cooperation with Yuan-Dong Architects & Associates and Tong Yu Interior Renovation Co,. Ltd.

2Tell us more about your business/company, job profile, and what you do.

FULL WANG INTERNATIONAL was founded in 1990. Regardless of large and small construction projects, pre-sale houses, industrial plant development, etc., it has invested profoundly in Taichung for many years and expanded to cross-regional operations across the province, successively in Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Miaoli, Taichung, Yunlin, Tainan, and Kaohsiung are making every effort to promote the case. From rural to urban areas, FULL WANG INTERNATIONAL is present. Over the past 30 years, with the original intention of righteousness and kindness, we have shouldered the expectations of the residents, and FULL WANG has planted good intensions in heart, so that future residents and neighbors can enjoy good results. Abide by the agreement and build sincerely. Only in this way can we continue to have good karma.

3What does “design” mean to you?

The construction of buildings often results in changes and migration of the original environment. For us, through design, the concept of friendly neighborhood and reduced impact can be reflected in architectural works, fulfilling corporate social responsibility, and giving back to society and the environment.

4What’s your favorite kind of design and why?

The core idea of FULL WANG INTERNATIONAL is: establishing classics and moving towards more eco-friendly future! I believe that good design not only meets the needs of the market economy, but also needs to meet the social era and the preservation and integration of the environment and ecology, even regeneration, and reconstruction, so as to solve the problems of the residents in life and provide a sustainable living environment.

5To you, what makes a “good” design?

The essence of architecture is the living space of human beings. By combining nature, function, and innovation, good design allows the residents' body, mind, and spirit to be settled and healed in the space and become more harmonious.

6Describe your design style and its main characteristics.

Modern people have been in a working environment of stress and anxiety for a long time, which is the main cause of many modern chronic life diseases. So how to have a healthy home environment that can restore body, mind, and spirit after get off work or holidays, not only allows the exhausted body and mind to be repaired, but also can obtain further nourishing energy, and enjoy a comprehensive and complete life is healthy the main key to live a happiness life.

Especially after the pandemic, the world entered the era of homes, and residents began to have new thoughts, especially being close to nature and having green space, becoming the first choice for protecting the health of their families.

However, in a modern society where material life continues to improve, technological civilization continues to develop, and information is rapidly disseminated, the current indoor environment and space of homes often only value the performance of form and function. But forget that the essence of architecture is the living space of human beings, space is the container of life, and people are the most important foundation in space. Ignoring the six elements of form, color, quality, emptiness, light, and mind will affect people’s mood, that is, the mind changes with the environment, and how to design a home environment that allows the body, mind, and flexibility to settle down has become the focus of people's attention.

This case transforms the relationship between the home environment and us through the use of healing elements, transforms negative quality emotions, interpersonal relationships, health, and health into positive energy, and strengthens the positive quality, so that the residents can gain body, mind, spirit healing and more complete harmony, this is the purpose of this project design.

7Tell us about your design process.

The concept of surrounding environment planning is derived from the concept of "sharing". It is hoped that the outdoor landscape will not only create a green resting corner for residents, but also hope that through the planning of open space, residents of neighboring communities can also enter the open space. Shared rest space. In addition, due to its proximity to the seashore, the style of this project has moved towards a casual style, creating a relaxing style that allows people to actually walk into the green space and a comfortable and healing indoor space.

8Do you think your country and its cultural heritage has an impact on your design process?

Yes, the relationship between architecture and environment is inseparable. The living style of Kaohsiung area affects the indoor space configuration, and the cultural background and urban texture affect the appearance and configuration of the building. Use these existing conditions appropriately, combining innovative concepts and user experience, in order to design buildings that meet the needs and improve people’s lives.

9Congratulations! As the winner of the 2020 MUSE Design Awards, what does it mean to you and your company and team to receive this award distinction?

After 30 years of establishment, the company is deeply honored to receive the award. This means that FULL WANG INTERNATIONAL 's architecture is continuing to innovate and evolve. It also encourages the company to continue to provide better living space and quality of life for this beautiful land and residents in Taiwan.

10Can you explain a bit about the winning work you entered into the 2020 MUSE Design Awards, and why you chose to enter this project?

Regarding the selection of LA VIE Architecture for the competition, it is because this work is the first case of FULL WANG INTERNATIONAL’s entry into Kaohsiung. The team has put in more thoughts on how to use space to create nature, and build a large number of natural materials. The quotes are spread throughout the space, and try to incorporate arcs, organic lines, earth tones, natural greenery, and situational light sources to make the overall artistic conception feel warmer and more practical.

11What was the biggest challenge with this project?

In the process of discussion, the team not only brainstorming about innovation in design, but also faces the restrictions of laws and regulations and the problem of how to perfectly integrate the structural system. In the future, how to actually present the design in full in construction execution will also be a major issue for the team challenge.

12How has winning an Award developed your practice/career?

For the award, the design ability and achievements of the team can be recognized internationally. In addition to contributing to the improvement of the company’s brand image, it is a significant milestone compared to FULL WANG INTERNATIONAL’s ability to represent Taiwan on the international stage.

13What are your top three (3) favorite things about our industry?

Do good things with a sincere attitude and correct methods!

FULL WANG INTERNATIONAL builds a house carefully and realizes the wish of every consumer to have a family! Looking at the smiles of the residents happily staying in is the greatest achievement of FULL WANG INTERNATIONAL.

14What makes your country specifically, unique in the design industry?

Taiwan has high-quality professional designers, and future design talents will need to have cross-field integration and problem-solving capabilities to cope with rapidly changing industry trends.

15Where do you see the evolution of design industry going over the next 5-10 years?

This year is the first year of FULL WANG INTERNATIONAL 's smart buildings. In the future, technology will also inject life into the buildings. In addition to adjusting the indoor environment through the automatic detection of light and air, it includes the energy-saving statistics system for public facilities, the residential elevator connection sensor system and the home. Medical testing and other equipment etc. They will become one of the standard equipments of high-quality housing.

16If you were a student entering this industry or an aspiring MUSE Design Awards submitter, what advice would you give them?

Maintain keen observation in life, continue to improve self-ability, and keep the original intention, design must be people-oriented, take nature as the teacher, solve problems for people and the environment, uphold these principles, believe that everyone can design high-quality works.

17What resources would you recommend to someone who wants to improve their skills in the design industry?

Take a firm footing, observe more in life, don't be afraid to pursue success, and don't be framed by tradition, brave enough to break through the status quo, take responsibility and earn the value.

18Who has inspired you in your life and why?

It is an absolute bless for the people in the city to have a home with warmth; the trees that live with the earth also need the land to live in. The abundant natural ecology is the foundation of the earth's sustainability. These concepts and inspirations make our team look forward to connecting people and homes, people and trees, people and nature, and people and the land. To establish classics in the city, we pursue "establish classics and green the future", so that the ecological pool, Tea garden, mother's vegetable garden, towering greenery... etc. can all be presented in the construction project.

19What is your key to success? Any parting words of wisdom?

As an eternal architect, business operations must keep pace with the times and meet the trend in order not to be eliminated. Having worked in the construction field for more than 30 years, FULL WANG has no end in terms of construction methods, quality or after-sales service. We insist on doing what a builder should do, moving forward steadily, and creating customers with enthusiasm and belief. Create a win-win situation for customers, shareholders and employees.
