Hi, I am Bing Hu Wu! I started to develop interest in photography during the photography's class that I entered back in University and right after that, I got the inspiration after seeing the Teacher of the photography class which is Professor Hong Zhijie from Taiwan Vanung University of Science and Technology's artwork.
I studied photography at the Department of Photography of Vanung University of Science and Technology in Taiwan.
Yes! My first shot was in studio. At that time we were experimenting with some new things and I had to shot naked models. I felt nervous and exciting at that moment!
I used a Nikon D750 body with an 85mm prime lens.
I hope that I can shine brightly in the field of photography and become a professional documentary photographer in the future!
I was not born in a silver spoon family. So some of the things that touched me the most was when I received the camera lens from Cui Mao Sen, the Chairman of the Taiwan Institute of Architects and Professor of Universal University of Science and Technology. I felt truly happy and grateful for that!
Other than that is when I shot for my entry which entitled True Love COVID-19. There was an indescribable feeling in my heart when I finished shooting with the team. I was inexplicably moved and grateful by the things and support from the people around me
The idea of this artwork came from a homosexual couple that I met in another country, three years ago. When I first met them, I was attracted by their charm. So, I started documenting the couple’s life for a quite some times. I appreciate it very much. They are still facing their lives optimistically and cheerfully despite the epidemic and other external factors.
I think they are vivid, emotional, positive.
This award is very significance to me and the team. I hope to create and record different documentary photography and exotic humanities in my future life.
I have been aiming to enter this award since a long time ago. Muse Photography is a such a grand international photography competition. Participating in Muse Photography gave me a pause and reflection during my student photography period. Through this work and experience in the competition, I am now more enthusiastic about my creation.
This award is an indispensable benefits for my future photography career. In the future, after graduating from a university in Taiwan, I will study for a master degree in photography and research institute in United States, and I will pursue photography with enthusiasm.
The best of advice I have ever received was from my photography teacher: “Don’t give up on everything, opportunities are reserved for those who are prepared."
Only by maintaining the authentic intention of photography and the enthusiasm for creation can we create good and touching works.
I live by motto which is "Do good deeds with good intentions, and don’t forget that there are so many suffering people in the world"
Keep a humble attitude, try to forget yesterday, embrace today, and face a better day tomorrow.

After the world has experienced this epidemic, I believe that people in the world will welcome a better future. I hope that in the future, I can learn more about people from different races and different countries, so that I can continue to enjoy my life of documentary photography with enthusiasm and kindness.
