3Congratulations! As the winner of the 2019 Muse Awards, what does it mean to you and your company and team to receive this award distinction?
Our team poured blood, sweat and tears into our rebrand, so getting recognition on the work we produced is a great feeling. We wanted our new branding and website to reflect our culture and vision, and we’re glad that staying true to ourselves resonated with others in the industry.
4Can you explain a bit about the winning work you entered into the 2019 Muse Awards, and why you chose to enter this project?
We started our brand refresh at the end of 2018 to further align our agency with the changing face of the industry and our forward-thinking company culture. A part of this project included a new logo and an entirely redesigned website. We are known for building brands for innovative and disruptive companies, and felt we needed to have this same this mindset when creating our own website.
5What was the biggest challenge with this project?
It’s always difficult to turn a concept into reality, take progressive ideas and turn them into a functional and appealing website. We had a thought of what we wanted to convey with our rebrand, but it was a matter of taking these ideas and getting the identity and imagery right. We wanted our website to have a distinctive look compared to other agencies, but still be a true reflection of our team and vision.
6How has winning an Award developed your practice/career?
The rebrand led to a sharp increase in new business and leads. Over 50% of new business came directly from the website, with new clients appreciating its modern look and engaging use of video as well as other dynamic elements.
7What is your key to success? Any parting words of wisdom?
If you fail at being original and authentic, our industry will not progress. It's necessary to keep pushing the envelope - take risks and don’t be afraid to fail. Marketing is all about evoking emotion and forcing people to action. Those who try different things and aren’t afraid to break the mold will succeed and those resting on their laurels will get left behind.
