2What made you become/why did you choose to become a designer/artist?

From childhood itself, I had a liking for drawing, sketching etc. I always had an ambition of entering the creative field.

3Tell us more about your business/company, job profile, and what you do.

We are an Interior Design firm. We also design architectural concepts.

4What does “design” mean to you?

Design is thinking made visual.

Personally I feel that every person has his own identity and beauty. Everyone being different, which is what makes them really beautiful. If all the things are same, it will seem boring. Every client is different, where their requirements and liking vary. Hence, every project should be designed as per client’s personality.

5What’s your favorite kind of design and why?

My favourite kind of design is “modern contemporary style”. As it is, clean and minimal.

6To you, what makes a “good” design?

A “GOOD” design is achieved when designed with intricate details and a strong concept. The design basis lies in strong zoning principles that ensure clear circulation, maximum natural light to the spaces so as to approach every project with an unique and different design thought.

7Describe your design style and its main characteristics.

We consider the design of a house, its architecture and interior design as a work of art. The design concepts are contemporary, timeless and oblivious to trends. We create a style of living that provides a flexible environment and well-lit inspirational spaces that can transform the one lives.

8Tell us about your design process.

In our perspective, the commitment to bringing quality, creativity and style to the projects has helped to make the firm successful and bringing in clients from worldwide. We study our client;'s requirements and in the depth of research, it makes us deliver a completely designed plan for the house. This makes our firm unique and narrative in visuals.

9Do you think your country and its cultural heritage has an impact on your design process?

Yes as we also design classical Indian designs to keep our cultural heritage alive.

10Congratulations! As the winner of the 2019 MUSE Awards, what does it mean to you and your company and team to receive this award distinction?

We are extremely proud and honored to receive this Platinum Award. This international award means we can engage like-minded developers and designers to exchange ideas on how to make the community design better. It also inspires are entire team to firm up our aesthetic taste and design more excellent work.

11Can you explain a bit about the winning work you entered into the 2019 MUSE Awards, and why you chose to enter this project?

The manipulation of architecture defines the Interior space with openness and natural ventilation throughout the day. The sunlight flooding from the east and west creates an interesting play of light and shadows inside. The design harnesses simple and modern contemporary style, creating relaxing spaces for the family.

12What was the biggest challenge with this project?

Being in close proximity to the neighbourhood, one always wants privacy and individuality in one's house. This brought to the fore the challenge of reconciling the requirements of privacy. Thus, the approach of the design was realistic, focusing on creating a mass structure, which is designed to maintain privacy and highlighting the abundance of natural light and amplify the large, airy spatial qualities of the plot.

13Who has inspired you in your life and why?

Nature. For us, architecture and interior design are synthesis of form and function. Natural elements means a lot, as they give us energy and positive environment to the house and human sensations too.

14What is your key to success? Any parting words of wisdom?
15Do you have anything else you would like to add to the interview?

Yes, it is my wife Mansi Newaskar.
