1First, tell us about yourself, your company, job profile, etc.
I’m a producer, creative director and CEO at BluBlu Studios. I specialize in storytelling via 2D/3D animation and have been creating animations for international brands, non-profit organizations, production houses, and advertising agencies for 8 years. I had an opportunity to work for web startups, international publishers, most famous animation studios and Fortune 500 companies. At the moment I manage the works of the studio and I’m responsible for big-budget international projects. I’m also the producer and director of numerous projects of our studio.
2Tell us a bit about your business and what you do.
We focus on creating sophisticated animated commercials, premium explainer videos and animated series for Asian, Australian, American, and European markets. Our main objective is to create top-quality animations whilst maintaining the highest standards with respect to project management and communicating with customers. We always put a strong emphasis both, on a unique design coherent with the brand identity, and sales effectiveness of our videos.
3Congratulations! As the winner of the 2018 Muse Creative Awards, what does winning this award mean to you and your team?
Winning the 2018 Muse Creative Awards is a confirmation for our entire team that placing a great importance to interesting design, fluent and perfectly thought-out movement and showing history in an unconventional way, make sense and is appreciated by the viewers. We are very happy about it and we are planning on creating more and more projects like that!
4Where do you see the evolution of creative industry going over the next 5-10 years?
Certainly, the commercial animation market will grow more and more. In particular, we will observe a noticeable boost in countries that are currently catching up in this field in relation to the largest animation markets. In the whole world, for several years, a growing trend in the field of 2D/3D animation has been seen, which translates into an increasing number of advanced productions and constantly setting the bar high. There will be more and more 3D and interactive productions, but 2D/2,5D will still remain a very interesting alternative.
5What are your top three (3) favorite things about our industry?
• The market of animation gives us unlimited freedom of action and creation.
• The creative way of being and the energy our clients and artists have are amazing. It makes this industry special!
• The animation market is also very diverse and simply cool. There is always something new waiting for us.
6If you could give one piece of advice to someone considering a career in creative industry, what would it be?
Take inspiration from the best producers and artists in the world and practice, practice and practice more. Do not be afraid to experiment, but at the same time, be open to criticism - in this industry, you have to be flexible and non-confrontational. Learn how to work with people.
7Tell us something you have never told anyone else.
I love Donald Duck and the comics of the best cartoonists such as Don Rosa, Carl Barks, and Vicar!
8Finally, what is your key to success?
Cooperation with the best and coolest people in the industry as well as a constant pursuit of perfection (sometimes even being too stubborn!) and setting the bar high. However, ambition is a dangerous drug - you have to apply it carefully!
