The 2023 London Design Awards is organised by the International Awards Associate (IAA), and is a newly added award meant to create new sensations throughout the design industry, and beyond. The award recognises exceptional designs and outstanding creative projects worldwide, while at the same time, acknowledging existing trends that integrate with diverse insights, ultimately creating a symbol of excellence.
“The beauty of design is that anything can be made possible, beginning with a small spark, and then developing into something far greater!” Exclaimed Thomas Brandt, the spokesperson of IAA. “The world has never been short of creativity, but at the awards, this is where we plan to make a difference, by unveiling all designs that surpass normal imaginations.”
The award invites all product designers, architects, interior designers, graphic designers, UX / UI designers and any designers of all background to participate, whether they are companies, team / departments, innovators, manufacturers, suppliers, freelancers, hobbyists or students. This platform exists to reformulate the perspectives of the world towards this unique language, recognising designs that are truly exceptional in the visualisation of creative influence.
The London Design Awards encompasses vast fields of design across the industry, ensuring that most, if not all forms of design are truly celebrated and showcased globally, in the medium of these 9 diverse categories, including Product Design, Architectural Design, Interior Design, UX Design, UI Design, Communication Design, Service Design, Packaging Design and also Conceptual Design.
To promote wide acceptance of unique designs, the Grand Jury Panel consists of honorary professionals, experienced designers, and respected experts that implement their knowledge and category-specific skill sets to evaluate trailblazing designs. The London Design Awards will have four winning levels, the Design of the Year, Platinum Winners, Gold Winners, and Silver Winners. The Design of the Year will be awarded with a redefined LITO Statuette in recognition of world-class qualtiities, and each winner will be rewarded with advantages and benefits that will advance their careers significantly higher.
IAA and the London Design Awards revolve around a clear direction, to honour unprecedented designs in interior, architectural, product, packaging, conceptual, user interface, user experience, communication and services around the world. The award will officially launch on 1 February, 2023, with the winners announcement date falling on 14 July, 2023.
As the face of the London Awards, LITO serves as a statuette that emanates a strong sense of inexplicability, expressing that design has no definition or limits. In a fully redefined form, it now exists as the ultimate creation of the past and future, synthesising distinctive elements all in one piece.
