When you see the logo of a golden shield with the letters “WB” inscribed on it in front of a clear blue sky, you know you’re in for a good time. Who doesn’t remember watching such iconic cartoons of the golden era of cartoons like Looney Toons, especially the time-honored Batman: The Animated Series TV show still revered by DC fans all over the world as the best Batman medium to date? And not to mention, the ever-growing presence in pop-culture that is the Harry Potter franchise?
Wanting to capture the magic of everything this proud juggernaut of a studio stands for in its rich history of creating amazing movies and cartoon shows, Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood expands its magic to give newcomers and returning visitors a brand-new WB experience like no other, and making them feel like a part of the WB universe!
After five years of waiting, the all-new welcome center of the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood is finally open to the public! Not only breathing a new magical experience to expand the Tour, but to also give an extra-special behind-the-scenes tour of how the legendary movies and cartoons are made. One script page at a time!
Visitors of the Warner Bros. Studio tour Hollywood is taken to the new Welcome Center that introduces the studio’s entire history of making films and cartoons. Showing them snippets of first drafts, concept arts, and ever rare artifacts of the past that is never before seen by the public! Including a 14-feet tall model replica of the famous WB water tower. Visitors will also be led into the final part of the welcome center that houses a special preshow film in a state-of-the-art theater, but we won’t spoil what it’s about!
Moving onto the second half of the exhibition is where the magic begins to happen. Visitors are now spoiled for choice when they are presented with one of two options: Head straight to the DC Superheroes & Villains section, or to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, or maybe both? The choice is yours to decide!
The DC Comics section of the exhibit is home to many of our favorite superheroes that we grew up watching on Cartoon Network. The Batcave with a slew of gadgets and the Batcomputer containing a database of other superheroes, as well as other characters such as Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Superman and more having their own dedicated areas with movie props and costumes used in filming.
Next up, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, where aspiring wizards-to-be get to live out their fantasies of their childhoods! With amazing activities that really make you feel as if you are part of this world such as taking part in a Herbology class and mixing your potions, to finding out which Hogwarts house you belong to at the Sorting Hat! In addition to that, a 1-to-1 accurate replica of Newt’s shed is also included in this part of the exhibit for those who enjoy the Fantastic Beasts movies! And to cap everything off, you also have the opportunity to hold an actual Oscar trophy to take a commemorative photo with as the perfect send off to your adventures!
