The name of a brand or company bears great weight of what they stand for. Ford and Ferrari are named after the founders who handily led the automotive industry, and Dunkin’ Donuts is a reference to donuts and coffee. All these names are a direct reflection of the brand’s services and philosophy seen by many at first glance.
But what if a software manufacturer and solutions company have a unique or powerful name that doesn’t match its services? Well, for DRAKOS, they doubled down on their name and have barbarian from another era to their workforce in this amazing 2-minute video by FrishcerFilm and Benny Semler & Peter Zickermann GbR!
The company video stars the titular character, Drakos. Known for his no-nonsense fighting style that helped him take on endless hordes of undead, monstrosities many times his size and weight, and beasts of legend from his era. Today, though, he is a full-fledged employee of DRAKOS and will be taking on an adversary far more terrifying than a fire-breathing dragon: Software hacks that will steal your company data!
The cinematic starts with the beginnings of the usual morning routine within a typical office space, with lights being turned on and the water dispenser freshly refilled with a new gallon of water. The camera then shows the clock striking at the beginning of the work day, and an elevator then parts. Revealing our main character of the video, Drakos the barbarian. Sword in hand and exuding a menacing air of battle-hardened experience, before it all comes crashing down as he greets his co-workers in a pretty normal way.
Drakos then goes about his usual day of work. Making his way to his workstation and punching in his hours with the world’s strongest time punch machine, Drakos explains the services and products that DRAKOS provides for you and your company. All while appearing in various different areas of the office such as the cafeteria for a cup of coffee, waiting at a hallway for an appointment, and finally at the office of his superior to hand some files. Only to cut it in half with his sword and getting a earful from her.
Despite his quirks and questionable methods, Drakos still gets the job done and he’s proven himself to be a reliable and popular member of the team that everyone can depend on. DRAKOS did a good job producing a skit that best showcases their products and services with a barbarian from a far-away land as their mascot and full-time employee!
