CITYSCAPE DEVELOPMENT has truly mastered the craft of crafting serene and tranquil environments within the realm of commercial landscape design, as evidenced by their remarkable work at the Changsha The Carema Sales Center. The project showcases their expertise in seamlessly integrating natural elements, harmonious design principles, and innovative features to create an oasis of peace and tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle of urban life.
The design showcases a contemporary and minimalist style, seamlessly blending aesthetics with modern sensibilities and a connection to nature. Drawing inspiration from Changsha's cultural heritage, the designer integrates it with contemporary techniques. The entrance design, inspired by a canyon, symbolizes an idealistic pursuit of the natural world, while the storefront signboard abstractly resembles a biomimetic ship, with dynamic curved elements that create a sense of flow along the 105-meter canyon greenway. The natural granite high wall mirrors crashing waves, inviting individuals to immerse themselves in the dramatic natural surroundings.
Inspired by the heartwarming sight of a mother finless porpoise and her playful offspring, the landscape designers created an Instagram-worthy masterpiece known as the "Kiss of Finless Porpoise" sculpture in SMILE Square. Rising to a striking 8 meters in height, this installation comprises 484 triangular mirrored stainless steel components. When combined with the nearby square music fountain, enchanting fog forest, and integrated induction lights, it brings to life the charming scene of finless porpoises joyfully navigating their way home, offering an enthralling visual treat for visitors.
What's more, the connection between the sales center, the front square, and the canyon is reinforced by a 900-square-meter water body. This natural water feature not only adds aesthetic charm but also symbolically mirrors the historical ebb and flow of the Xiangjiang River through its winding water line, layered water levels, and overlapping water curtain, further enhancing the connection between nature and the built environment.
The lobby hall features a subdued gray color scheme and is adorned with an 8.1-meter-wide circular water feature, characterized by an elegantly cascading water line that flows rhythmically. The backdrop to this disc-shaped waterscape presents a dynamic and picturesque landscape frame. Continuing along the path, we arrive at the subterranean club courtyard, where elements such as an artistic sculpture, a water platform, a small spring, black imitation stone bricks, and weather-resistant wooden structures in calming hues contribute to the space's simplicity and tranquility.
As they venture along the sebiferum road, a modern Zen landscape style unfolds, enriched by pure oxygen-rich greenery, meandering gravel pools, and the interplay of verdant islands against dark mountain stones. Their triumph in the Landscape Design - Commercial Landscape category is attributed to their meticulous attention to detail, innovative methods, and seamless integration of natural elements into urban settings. Their transformation of spaces into serene oases, featuring artistic water features, sculptures, and a harmonious color palette, showcases their expertise in crafting engaging and inspiring commercial landscapes.
