4What does “design” mean to you?
Design is more than mere aesthetics; it is an intricate process that harmonises creativity, functionality, and emotion to elevate daily life. By thoughtfully merging these elements, the design provides convenience and enriches our experiences. After all, life is too short to let anything unsightly obstruct our journey. Embracing beauty in our surroundings empowers us to navigate the world with confidence and grace.
5What’s your favorite kind of design and why?
Cimor's products are stylish, beautiful, and designed for convenience and ease of use. They embody the design philosophy of the creator, focusing on "one-handed design." This allows consumers to operate the products effortlessly with just one hand. Whether you're busy with daily tasks or traveling, you can easily enjoy a professional skincare experience.
6To you, what makes a “good” design?
Design should fundamentally address practical needs or problems to facilitate user convenience and effectiveness. The core principle of design is functionality, which must be complemented by innovation and aesthetic appeal.
7How did you come up with the idea for your award-winning design?
Our goal is for each product to vividly embody the brand's central theme of technology and purity, beautifully represented in their simplest forms. We embrace a restrained and minimalist design philosophy, ensuring that our packaging complements rather than competes with the product inside. This approach not only highlights the essence of the product but also evokes a deep sense of harmony with nature, creating a captivating experience for our customers.
8What was your main source of inspiration for this design?
The letter "M" in CIMOR represents a rune that signifies both protection and infinity. This symbol is understood as a potent protective force that embodies endless energy and the ongoing continuity of life.
Furthermore, the packaging design is environmentally sustainable and is inspired by the texture of human skin, which serves as one of the foundational influences for the selection of product materials.
9Do you think your country and its cultural heritage has an impact on your design process?
Taiwan is a nation characterised by equality, diversity, openness, and freedom. These attributes have fostered numerous opportunities for innovation in our culture, design, and creativity. As an island nation, Taiwan effectively assimilates information from across the globe while simultaneously cultivating its own distinct identity.

The London Design Awards represents a prestigious international competition that bridges historical significance with future innovation. This event not only addresses contemporary design requirements but also exerts a profound and lasting influence on the field.
At the core of my design philosophy is the integration of aesthetics and functionality. This dual approach is dedicated to resolving practical challenges while simultaneously enhancing the emotional connection for users. I have placed a strong emphasis on user experience, ensuring that the product is seamlessly aligned with modern lifestyles in a straightforward and intuitive manner.
Furthermore, I strive to achieve a significant visual and emotional resonance. It is my assertion that exemplary design should enhance daily living and deeply engage its users.
12What were the main challenges you faced during the design process, and how did you overcome them?
Design is a multifaceted concept that cannot be succinctly defined. It extends beyond mere visual aesthetics or superficial representation; it represents a comprehensive process of cultivation and accumulation.
Each innovation and practice represents the culmination of established design principles and values, with the ultimate outcome not deriving from a singular moment of inspiration. The true allure of design resides in its limitless possibilities. It necessitates patience, introspection, and continuous refinement to effectively transform an initial concept into a realised practice.
13How do you think winning this award will impact your future as a designer?
Winning an international award, such as the London Design Award, represents a significant achievement for any designer. This accolade not only acknowledges prior efforts and creations but also serves as a catalyst for new opportunities and supports future professional development.

15What sets your design apart from others in the same category?

16Where do you see the evolution of design industry going over the next 5-10 years?
The contemporary visual design sector is confronted with challenges related to uniformity and a lack of depth. Many design works fail to exhibit unique characteristics, which diminishes their ability to engage effectively with audiences. As individuals increasingly prioritise quality of life and immersive sensory experiences, the value of skilled design professionals will become increasingly apparent in future industries.
It is these innovative designers, characterised by their creativity and depth of insight, who possess the ability to transcend the constraints of uniformity and create works that resonate emotionally and enhance overall user experience.

To foster professional growth in design, it is advisable to curate a collection of 5 to 10 preferred designs each day. Engaging with a diverse range of design types and styles not only expands one's perspective but also enhances comprehension and mastery of various design principles.
18What resources would you recommend to someone who wants to improve their skills in the design industry?
Marketing resources and product managers play a crucial role in the successful design and promotion of products. Their collaboration ensures a seamless and efficient transition from the design phase to the product launch, enabling the team to effectively reach the target audience and achieve a significant impact in the marketplace.
