With this knowledge of players connecting with their Sims in hand, the ASF and developers of The Sims 4 immediately got to work at creating the Adopt a Sim campaign. Making sure these furry friends get a home. Working closely with kennels and pet shelters from all over the world, dogs and cats are digitized into 55kbts files by exactly matching their features, personalities and coat patterns and colors. After that, their listed in The Sims 4 for adoption in the virtual world where players can adopt their dog or cat of choice!
The real magic of the Adopt a Sim campaign starts to shine when the players who have adopted their pet of choice receives an email shortly after. Notifying them that their virtual pet they have adopted in the game is in fact real and an appointment can be scheduled to meet them in person. Giving these furballs a chance at a life worth remembering.
Adopt a Sim is a creative effort at shining a light on the millions of dogs and cats still living in shelters without a home and owner to love.
