BV Arquitectura built a humble yet grand single family home that almost seems like another world the moment when one steps foot into its air of the great Fortaleza Residence.
The magnificent Fortaleza Residence is a space of 1,600 square meter, two stories, single-family home that is surrounded by a growing foliage of the vibrant Mayan Jungle. The ‘El Jaguar Country Club’ is a luxurious residential area that is part of a thriving and private community that enjoys the spectacular view of the grand golf course. An idea of luxury that takes place in the jungle all while enjoying the security of a private residential area that was brought to life is what many would wait for a lifetime to revel in!
This humble abode is located in Yucatan, Mexico, the house is a haven that has five guest rooms complete with private bathrooms, a family/TV room, kids toy library, a private studio with independent access, main living room, dining room, display show kitchen, service kitchen, laundry and back of house service. It also comes complete with a garage that can fit 5 cars, a pool, patio, grill area and a main garden with a sunken fire pit! This residence is the dream of many with a long list of facilities designed to ensure everyone’s comfort is well-taken care of.
The design of the residence is assured to have sustainable certifications as the trees that surround the compound is preserved with the rain and common-use water is recovered for irrigation and solar panels are installed for power generation. Since the Yucatan Peninsula is in a hurricane zone, the brilliant designers were one step ahead by installing a heat protected hurricane-proof window system.With a color palette of concrete grey and leafy green, the heat of Merida is prominent for being extremely hot all year long which is the designers of BV Arquitectura cleverly designed a doubled height living space with a cross ventilation that faces the back patio of the south with the view of the main garden, pool and golf course in their sights. Certainly a sight to behold and unwind after a long day or respite in between one’s day.
Fortaleza is derived from the word ‘fortress’ which essentially means a special goal of the clients and in an eloquent way, ‘the final fortress of their lives’, seeing as it is a beautiful family home that will go onto create innumerable memories, generation after generation. In a world of its own, the moment when one steps foot into its humble but grand residence, it would be a miracle to gather the courage to leave the palatial greenery abode. The Fortaleza Residence was a 2022 Winner in the iLuxury Awards under the category Luxury Architecture Design - Residential (Single).
