A well-thought packaging design guarantees the success of the product but if one were to produce a remarkable spectacle of a design? What grows past success? Loyalty and appreciation. Such designs were constructed perfectly by paying homage and understanding the beauty of alcoholic beverages by these winners.
The Storyteller | The Craft Irish Whiskey Co.
The Storyteller is more than an arresting vessel for an ultra-rare whiskey, it is also the very representation a part of Irish History that inspired the ancestral trade and lifelong tradition of Irish storytellers that journeyed from town to town and delivered news across the island. It is an architectural surface of geometries where half of the contraption is fully frosted and the other is slightly recessed. In the spirit of remembrance, the brand allows its users to interact with the bottle in a fully vertical design that resembles a book tower. The Craft Irish Whiskey Co. constructed a design in where it is only possible to remove the bottle from the top which would allow the user to marvel at the extravagance that is before them with the information embedded into the bottle.
Shay Vsop | Le Portier
Shaped based on the distinguished bell-shaped cognac bottle, the Shay VSOP by Le Portier is a magnificent blend of the classic fashion of cognac and contemporary which resulted in a delightful and elegant creation. With a large bulb planted at the top with a narrow neck that only maximizes the control of the cognac flow to which further emphasizes the design of the bottle. Concealed in the box is a light grey suede with deep foam socket that secures the bottle in a neutral luxurious dark box. With minimalistic details found on the bottle, the rich color of cognac shines radiantly still.
Liquor for the 600th Anniversary for the Temple of Heaven | Li Jiuzhou Studio
A historical commemoration, The Temple of Heaven in Beijing was first built in 1420 (18 years of Yongle from the Ming Dynasty which illustrates the cosmology relationship between heaven and earth. The commemorative wine was modeled to celebrate the 600-year-old cultural development of Beijing’s very own Temple of Heaven. A wondrous sight to marvel, just like the majestic UNESCO Heritage Site, the design of the bottle comprises of a common design that is found in most Chinese traditional liquor vessels and Ancient Chinese also believes in the concept that the heavens are round and earth is square-shaped, both details were beautifully reflected on the design. Henceforth, the four kinds of liquor that one gazes upon the bottle represents kindness, propriety, loyal and integrity.
