DATELINE August 1, 2018, New York – United States
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
International Awards Associates (IAA) is pleased to announce the 2018 Vega Awards competition. Now in its third year, the Vega Awards recognizes the inspiring achievements of digital media companies and the creative professionals who are the lifeblood of the global marketing communications industry. Deadline for entry is October 31, 2018.
“We’ve continued to gain recognition in the international creative community,” Kenjo Ong, President of IAA said. “This year we recognize the brightest stars in the digital communications universe – their work is the guiding light of the industry.”
Increased international participation has prompted an expansion from 250 professional and student categories to 325 for the 2018 Vega Awards. New categories will include Virtual Reality and 360 Video, Video Channels and Networks, Audio, and Owned Media.
Entries in all categories will compete for newly re-designed statuettes with Platinum, Gold or Rose Gold finish along with the original Classic finish of previous years. Winners will again be selected by IAA’s international panel of judges. “Based on previous years, our judges anticipate seeing even more inspiring talent from our growing number of participants,” Ong said.
This year’s winners will join the ranks of previous winners and brands from such diverse companies as Nike, Sony Pictures, Walt Disney Pictures, Lionsgate, eBay, Toyota, Dell, HBO, Estee Lauder, Mercedes Stadium, LG, Welder Watch, Garmin Vivo, Hilton Worldwide, and Clash Royale.
“We’re happy to be celebrating the third year of Vega Digital Awards,” Ong said, adding that students are encouraged to submit their work. “We truly enjoy the opportunity to recognize and reward both career professionals and young, emerging talent.”
