The SUV market in the automotive industry is an incredibly volatile, competitive and exciting one. No matter the platform, none can beat the utility, convenience, and overall quality of life of a mid-sized SUV to do all sorts of everyday tasks and actions. Ranging from daily-driving your way to work or dropping your kids off at school, hauling heavy objects from one place to another, to even going places where no car is able to go.
We’re all familiar with legendary names in the industry such as Jeep’s still-relevant legacy of off-roading, Subaru’s notorious reputation in indestructible handling and all-wheel drive systems, the luxurios G-Wagon by Mercedes Benz, speed demons like the Lamborghini Urus, and luxury car manufacturers wanting a slice of the pie like Rolls Royce, Aston Martin, and soon, Ferrari.
In China, however, a healthy chunk of the SUV market still remains in the tight grip of homegrown car brands such as Great Wall and their reliable Tank 300 car. And to show who’s the boss of this small portion of the market, the ShadowTank concept by Shenzhen Seven Design Technology Co., Ltd. turned this family-friendly family SUV into a mean, lean machine that prowls within the urban roads!
Immediately at first sight, the ShadowTank concept completely overhauls the exterior look of the tame-looking car. And grants the vehicle an incredibly rugged and aggressive look. The observable changes that can be seen is the new custom body kit, new headlamp that extends across the front grill and on the bumper, and new suspension and bigger wheels that increases the height of the car and giving off a domineering vibe.
Like the Tank 300, the ShadowTank is also available in the same Mint Green, Glacier White and Vibrant Orange colorways. However, the fourth option, Shadow Black, is probably the best looking one among all of them and really makes the body kit stand out when the headlamps turn on to cut through the inky black space.
Built for the urban environment and designed by the people living the high life that want to make an appearance in the most coolest way possible, we hope this body kit design will catch on to other SUVs in the future!
