Here at the gaming side of Muse.World, we think that all mobile games today are basically the same. Seen especially in the puzzle genre of games where we come across at least ten people playing the same candy-themed match-four game since 2015.
But believe us when we say that this puzzle game is not like the rest! There’s puzzles and tricky levels, but also an intriguing story, love, pies, mystery, romance, heartbreak, and everything else under the sun in your average Spanish telenovela in Love & Pies!
Unlike other mobile puzzle games that we are all too familiar with, Love & Pies has a story that is regularly being expanded on with each big update. You play as Amelia Green, a single mother who is moving back to the countryside to live in her old family café after a rough divorce. But the moment you arrive at your old family business, you’ll quickly find that it’s burnt to the ground and it is up to you to restore the establishment to its former glory.
But the game does not stop at dusting off the tables and changing the light bulbs, oh no! There’s more to the burning down of the café and the entire village is extremely suspicious of the accident. Even pointing fingers to Amelia’s mom for being the arsonist. The mystery slowly starts to unfold on itself when you dig deeper into the details of the tragic event to prove to the people that your mother is innocent.
Love & Pies also has a coterie of quirky characters with their own unique personalities as well. Alongside with your uncle with a special interest in the Nordic Viking warriors of old, you are also greeted by a diverse cast of villagers who may or may not be involved in the arson. Is it the best friend you have not seen in ages? Or maybe that piece of hunk down the road? Or maybe that multibillion conglomerate looking to dominate the pastry scene? All this and more when you go through chapter after chapter of this engaging story!
