Ruili Coastal Hotel is the ultimate beach resort getaway in the middle of a metropolitan city!
There’s no other vacation experience in the world than a great weekend at a beach resort. Warm sand crunching under your feet. The ocean waves lapping gently along the shoreline. And the cool ocean breeze and salty smell that no one can get enough of. Unfortunately, that isn’t the case for other vacation goers who abhor the sand, wicked sunburns, and anything that has to do with the creatures that live in the water.
For those who still want to capture that same magical experience of staying at a seaside villa, Ruili Group China has commissioned the Suzhou Benpu Architectural Decoration Design Co., Ltd. to craft a hotel design that encapsulates the ocean and seaside theme. Thus resulting in the Ruili Coastal Hotel. A modern, chic and nautical-themed hotel of the ocean away from the ocean!
To make the design possible, the designers of the Ruili Coastal Hotel took after the best of modern hotel designs from all over the world. Studying every aspect and element, identifying the beautiful and the ugly, and how to mesh them all together to create a flawless and perfect design. While the design may be heavily inspired by other internationally-acclaimed hotels from the West, the soul of Ruili Coastal Hotel is still very Chinese and Oriental at heart.
One of the standout pieces of Ruili Coastal Hotel’s interior design language starts at the main lobby of the hotel. Here, guests are greeted with a sheaf of papers hung from the ceiling and mimicking the action of being blown away by the wind. Upon closer inspection, however, they look down and see it originating from a large stack of papers that cover a large part of the lobby’s floor. Shaped carefully to match the crashing waves of the ocean.
Continuing the oceanic theme, an event space is a magical place to make any event both casual and formal a memorable one. The interior is painted in a cool colorway with a large glass floor that takes up the entire center of the room. The top and bottom of the hall is covered in artificial floral decorations that recreates the mysterious nature of the reefs in the deep underwater caverns.
The design language doesn’t just stop there, as every single room is also carefully designed to make the guest feel as if they are sleeping underneath the stars with the ocean beneath them with a cool blue colorway, or the glorious sunset with a warmer red color instead.
The designers of the Ruili Coastal Hotel has done an impressive feat of capturing the essence of the ocean into their design. Now those with the fear of the beach and undying hatred of sand can finally experience the magic of the seaside!
