Born in Lisbon on the year 1966, José Martinez Silva has shown immense interest in the fields of architecture. Having graduated from Technical University Lisbon (UTL) in the Faculty of Architecture during 1989, José has also demonstrated his unwavering passion throughout his career, and is constantly invited to present his experiences and ideas at conferences, lectures, and seminars, via the role of a guest speaker. Like the 2022 MUSE Photography Awards, he has also been elected as the member of jury panels for competitions.
Taking a huge leap in profession, he went on and found ATELIER CENTRAL (AC) in 1991, assuming the role of CEO and main leader architect. As his career continues to expand, so does the projects under his belt, ranging over flexible scales inclusive of urban designs, commercials and leisure, to an unfathomable expertise in brand designing, specifically on the automotive sector.
With all the prestige achievements mentioned, in addition to being a regular in renowned websites, magazines, blogs, and international competitions, José is currently holding a crucial role within the 2022 MUSE Photography Awards, as well as the 2022 London Photography Awards. As a member of the jury panel for the awards, he has displayed extreme professionalism and integrity when it comes to the evaluation of almost unlimited entries. José Martinez Silva is definitely one of a kind, displaying all the necessary qualities of a judge.
