Through the creative technique, the designer intends to help people start afresh, to consider the value of family. It should be common, but it's time to sense the really precious matters again.
Designed by JDID INC., JDID is a small architectural and interior design studio.
For a long time, JDID is dedicated to discovering the way people and space connect so that the design is consistent with the customer’s innerself and not just a beautiful space. Hence, you can always see the input of JDID’s own emotions within the space, which gives people warmth.
In this project, JDID emphasizes on the value of family. Thus, the structure integrates the public and private space, and logical and sentimental experience with fluent traffic flow so that when the family members move freely, they will subconsciously feel pleasant about it.
The lobby is arranged to link together with the kitchen, so when the family members or guests come in the house, the homely scenes will reassure them.
Furthermore, adjustable wooden gratings that was inspired by Japanese style sliding doors were used to create a public space between the lobby and kitchen.
When it comes to space arrangement, the horizontal flow has been connected to make the public space appear magnified. The space, as if there is a vibrant silent forest, filled with cheering and laughing, is the most valuable interaction of the house.
In addition, the absence of superficial elements and decoration awaken the beautiful emotions of the familial relationships in that particular space.
Aesthetic plays a huge role in interior design as it determines the vibe and feel the inhabitants desire in that space. As for JDID, they wanted to infuse the sense of intimacy in performing daily routines of a family. Hence, they exhibits that emotion on the blank-leaving space taht presented a warm and simple spacial perception.
